Very famous Swedish built caravan from "SMV" Sörby Mekaniska Verkstad in Örebro. Its classic design an ultra modern features made it a popular caravan back in the 1960´s. This has a 2 tone color and been in warm storage for 20 years, it’s very fresh and clean.

Sörby Mechanical Workshop in Sörby , Örebro , is the manufacturer of the Swedish caravan brand SMV.
Berglund's Mechanical Workshop was founded in 1922 by Helmer and Gustav Berglund. In 1936, the company changed its name to Sörby Mechanical Workshop. They began to manufacture caravans in 1948 . Their caravan type is the classic so-called egg, which today has the closest cult status. SME caravans are still manufactured, and it is Sweden's oldest caravan brand.
Manufacturing began by building a caravan to Helmer Berglund and his wife, as a compromise, because Helmer wanted to travel while his wife wanted a summer cottage during the holiday.
The first series made caravan was manufactured in 1948. At the beginning of the 1950s, production is in full swing. In 1955, SMV Model 6 came with the classic egg form.
There are several clubs for SME fans in Sweden and the Netherlands.
