This car has belonged to the person associated with Arvika Car Museum's collections from the mid-1970s until 2021. It has been in the museum and in the associated garage for 42 years. Last spring, it was bought by a Volvo enthusiast in Värmland who wanted to get it on the road again. During the autumn and winter, it has undergone an extensive technical review with engine and chassis service as well as completely new brakes, pipes and hoses as well as tyres. All in the original design and made by the traditional Högdahls vintage car workshop in Koppom, with several fine renovations behind it. Here, however, only the technical bits need to be reviewed because the body is completely rust free and the paint is clear and shiny, despite the fact that it was repainted just over 45 years ago when the car was about 20 years old and had travelled 6000 km. The interior is completely original and still has the protective upholstery over the seats and door sides that was common to put on new cars at that time. We have not taken off the covers. Instead, we lifted a few corners and peeked under. The fine grey-striped wool fabric that is the original upholstery is under the protective covers and is still in new condition, completely without wear, bleaching or stains. (see picture with the hole in the protective cover on the driver's seat). The door sides were also covered with protective covers. This can be removed and then the upholstery matches the seats and appears to be completely in new condition.

Starts easily and runs very well on the road and now re registered in 2022 and ready to drive.

Zustand Interieur
The original interior is complete and nice, with a nice headliner, dashboard, and carpets. Since the car was new, the seats have had seat covers and protection on the door cards.

Nice body and paint. The car has never been damaged or repaired. Has been a show car since the early 1970s and only received a few small scratches from passers-by or when it was moved. A scratch is on the left corner at the rear and on the rear wing, see picture. At the top of the left front wing, a few tiny blisters can be seen. Otherwise, the paint is in top condition and would be even nicer with a machine polish/treatment.

Zustand gesamt
Extremely nice Volvo PV of the first design with the full rear window and new beautiful rear lights, but old grille and emblems etc. The car celebrated its return on the roads with a trip to Tjolöholm's Classic car show in May. There it received great attention and appreciation for its fine condition. The perfect car for a Volvo fan or collector.

Fakten zum Modell
PV444H/HS/HE 1954-55. Antal tillverkade: 29 045. Tjänstevikt: 990 kg (Export). Pris: 7 475 kr (Export), 8 500 kr (Standard), 9 075 kr (Special). Övrigt: En årsmodell med många nyheter, varav en hel del var relaterade till säkerhet. Exteriört gjordes bakrutan hel och dubbelt så stor. Även framrutan blev större genom att stolparna gjordes smalare och den övre kanten höjdes. Bakljusen flyttades upp från bakskärmarna till karossidorna och blev betydligt större. Strålkastarna gjordes starkare och antalet domkraftsfästen dubblerades. Bland övriga exteriöra nyheter kan två nya lacker nämmnas: kejsargrön & midnattsblå. Under 1955 övergavs cellulosalack för syntetisk dito och man testade svart, pärlgrå och den ovanliga kejsargröna syntetlacken sommaren 1955. När syntetlack blev standard hösten samma år fanns inte den gröna färgen kvar. Ny var även Exportmodellen, en betydligt sämre utrustad variant än Standard. Den innehöll endast sådant som var absolut nödvändigt; t.ex. var stolarna mycket enkla och oljefiltret togs bort, vilket innebar byte var 200-250 mil.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
