Current owners - who is now retired former workshop owner and VAG mechanic - bought the car privately in 1994. He have had it as a nice leasure car during the summers ever since. In recent years it has only been driven to the MOT inspection and on for some few small trips. At the beginning of the 00s, the car was dismantled and got a new coat of original color. All wear parts and mouldings were replaced with new, original. The 1600 engine got a different crankshaft which gives 1.9 liters of stroke volume and an output of around 75 hp, compared to the original output of 50.
The car is in super condition, (see photo). No damage or remarks. Brand new tires have been fitted this year and the car handles really well.

Feels like a Porsche with good torque, good brakes and excellent handling. Gearbox and clutch feels as new.

Elegant upholstered seats and door panels made by professionals coming from the Swedish furniture industry (see photos). Very nice fabric and well made. Easy to restore to original if desired. Upholstery and door panels can be found in the original version at for example, VW custom in Helsingborg.

Fakten zum Modell
The 1303 LS was the designation of the top and export model of the VW beetle. The last beeetle that was manufactured that in Germany and the most expensive. Only built between 1973 and 1975 and the convertible until 1979. The last years only for the US market.
You can recognize the 1303 by larger rear lights and arched front window. When the VW Golf came in 1974, it quickly became a bestseller and the 1303 cost almost as much. This contributed to the cessation of production of the regular 1303 with finally ended in 1975. But production of the convertible continued until the Golf came in a convertible version as well. Today, the 1303 is the most sought after VW convertible. The reasons:
It's charming, it's a 4 seater and it is fun to drive.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
