Beschreibung

A genuine Norrland car that has never been renovated but has been re painted at sometime. This PV comes with complete history and documentation and has only had three owners since it was sold new and today has a beautiful patina.
The car has spent its whole life being driven around the northern part of Sweden. This HS model is equipped with roof mounted sun blinds, fog lamp, reflectors in the rear bumper and chrome exhaust pipe. It is also prepared for an aerial and speakers.
When the current owner took over the car in 1987 he restored the brakes and the B4B engine. In addition, he used specialist body expert to fix the body work before it was painted. During the 1990s, the engine was again over hauled and replaced the valve springs. Today the car has normal small leaks that’s relates to all Volvo PV model of this year

Inside, the car is completely untouched with very nice fabric, due mainly to the fact it’s had seat cover. The head liner has some stains and the paint is now matt, which is totally normal for the cars age.

This PV444 has white wall radial tires with good tread.
The car comes with a binder full of documents, an almost complete series of workshop handbooks and price lists from 1954.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    Normally small oil leakage around the engine and driveline. Noise from manifold pipes (probably spring or preheating damper). The engine overhauled in the 1990s, with valve springs being replaced. Incorrect installation of the oil pump and manifold, but does affect the performance. Radial white wall tired with good tread

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Some minor marks on chrome edges and panels. The head liner is stained due to moisture, and is loose the rear window need resealing.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    The paint work has some small marks and scratches

    Nice and original car with lots of history.

Bilen är köpt ny på Bilbolaget i Östersund. Förste ägaren hade den till 1962 då han köpte en ny Amazon. Andre ägaren (svåger till första ägaren) hade den till 1987 då han fick erbjudande att köpa Amazonen som svågern köpt. PV’n gick ca 2000mil mellan 1954-1987. Vi köpte den 1987 och fick efter någon vecka en kolvring som gick sönder.Motorn renoverades med byte av kolvringar och en kolv (ringen gick sönder inåt och skadade inte loppet på cylindern), vevlager byttes och toppen renoverades. Bromsar renoverades och bilen lackades om då originalfärgen hade som egenhet att mattas fort. Invändigt är bilen helt orörd, inte omklätt tyg eller så. Det är originaltaket från ny, därav lite missfärgat. På bakre stötfångare sitter reflextejp som de fick sätta på enligt nya krav 1956, de flesta satte på reflexer vid den tiden.Huvkråkan hade ägarna sparat och gav oss inlindat i papper då de fick plocka bort den efter nya reglerna 1959. Bilen har gått hela tiden i Östersundsområdet och troligtvis inte lämnat Jämtland någon gång sedan den levererats ny. Vi har kört bilen sparsamt ( 10-20 mil/år sedan 1987) och alltid förvarat den i varmgarage sedan den renoverats. Under denna vinter har jag åtgärdat de anmärkningar som besiktningsmannen hade inför förra auktionen och servat upp bilen med nya tändstift, tändkablar, nya brytarspetsar, olja och filter samt smörjt upp bilen så den är redo för nya trevliga sommar turer. En pärm finns som följer med från tidigare ägare och främst andra ägaren.

Fakten zum Modell

PV 444 H and more luxurious HS came in December 1954. Now with significantly more changes than before. They had raised and widened the windshield, made the windshield pairs narrower, widened the rear window, and removed the center post. The rear lights had moved onto the car body. The previous spare wheel now stood up in the luggage as it became significantly more spacious. During the production of the H model, a better gearbox was introduced, and the S version got a inner tubeless tire. H-model, you also went from cellulose to synthetic paint.
The Volvo PV 444 was manufactured from 1947 until 1958 when replaced by PV 544.
