The car starts easily but ran a bit rough before it warmed up; then it ran better. The mechanical aspects seem to work but require inspection and servicing. Some parts are missing, including the air filter. The undercarriage hasn't been checked on a lift, and there may be parts that need attention.

The interior is in a well-preserved original condition but appears to be mostly complete. There are details that need to be examined, including a special solution for the ignition lock. The tachometer is not functioning, and there are also a few gauges with uncertain functionality.

The car has an older repaint. It lacks trims on the front fenders. The glass, rubber, and wheels, among other things, are functional but could also be renovated. Rubber details on bumpers, emblems, and trim are missing. Some of them are included in the accompanying box.

Fakten zum Modell
De första två åren monterades bilarna i England, hos Jensen. Härefter byggdes de i Torslanda och fick i då tillägget S för svenskbyggd, framförallt för att markera att de nu byggdes i Sverige. Made in Sweden gav på den tiden en kvalitetsstämpel, som de engelskbyggda kanske inte riktigt nådde upp till. Så from i april blev det 1800S. Först någon månad som årsmodell 1963. Därefter årsmodell 1964. Inga större förändringar. Till årsmodell 1965 hände dock en del, precis som för övriga Volvovagnar. Ny kylargrill hela stötfångare fram, nya fälgar och navkapslar. Till årsmodell 1966 fick de högre motoreffekt genom nytt grenrör, nytt avgassystem, permanentsmord framvagn och förbättrad bakhjulsupphängning. Det blev också sista året med en karaktäristiska uppböjda sidolisten på dörrarna. Just årsmodell 1966 byggdes i 4.500 exemplar.
Det byggdes totalt cirka 36.000 bilar.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
