Volvo PV 444 B4B — 1947

• Zustand technisch

  Volvo's durable B4B engine of 1.4 litres and 40 hp. The gearbox is an original 3-speed with an unsynchronized low gear. Starts easily and runs fine. These older cars with unsynchronized 1'a require a relaxed and harmonious driving style. The car is fully functional and ready to drive. 6-volt electrical system with new starter battery. Equipped with a heat pack, something that was optional when the PV 444 was introduced. Double heating packages have been installed here. An important thing to remember is that the car only has original driving direction arrows. This is approved by Swedish car testing, but modern drivers often miss when the arrow is folded out. An update with small discreet indicator lights is recommended for safer driving in modern traffic environments.

• Zustand Interieur

  Well-preserved interior with a nice headliner. We believe the seats are original and that the front door panels were replaced in the 1990s. Very nice dashboard and nice rubber mats on the floor. A little wear on the steering wheel contributes to the charming patina. Nice rubber seals.

• Zustand Exterieur

  Let's state right away that this car has not been renovated to mint condition, as has been done with many other early PV 444s. This car has been serviced and repaired, but not renovated. This means that the paint has some wear, stone chips and small damage that are completely natural for a car that is 75 years old. There are also some older improvements to the paintwork. There are some minor dents around the car. See the pictures. Of which we can mention indentation on the left rear wing, scratch marks on the bottom of the left door. Polishing the paint would bring up more shine and a bit of gentle panel beating could straighten out some of the bumps without repainting. Otherwise, we recommend that the car be enjoyed in its natural condition. Chrome and trim are in good used condition. Equipped with older diagonal tires that give the car the right profile. The roof rack on the car is an original Volvo roof rack.

  Fully usable and a nice classic with great historical value. Good overall impression and a nice patina.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
