Beschreibung

This car was sold in Sweden when new in 1980 and has had several owners, with the current owner being a Mercedes enthusiast. It features the correct 4.5 L V8 engine paired with a K-Jet fuel system, avoiding the common issues of the D-Jetronic. Both the engine and transmission perform excellently.

Originally intended for conversion into a rally or track day/racing car, it retains the complete dashboard and all original components, with all gauges functioning. A genuine Lorinser body kit is fitted, equipped with springs and adjustable dampers.

It comes with BBS wheels fitted with older Pirelli Scorpion tires and features genuine older Recaro sports seats. The rear seat has been removed and is not included, along with an alloy-clad parcel shelf and rear side panels. The original front door card is still present, and a new battery has been installed. While there are some imperfections, the body is in good condition and was painted approximately six years ago. The sills have been replaced, and there is no significant rust underneath. The body kit requires some repairs on certain edges.

Everything functions well, except for the windshield wipers; a new motor is included since the old one burned out. The heating cannot be turned off, only the fan. Overall, it starts and runs well, making it a great candidate for finishing the build and using for ice racing, track events, or simply as a unique car.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    Runs and drive fine with the recent mentioned job done with brakes, fuel system and gearbox. Enginebay is in order and the engine runs well and sound rights. Extra working wiper motor included other one need replacing. OK alloy wheels with some marks and oxidation and good but older tires.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Interior has been stripped and fitted with Recaro front seats, and there is no rear seat or carpeting. The rear side panels and parcel shelf have been upgraded with alloy panels. The dashboard, front door cards, and headliner are original and in place, along with a functioning electric roof. The instrumentation is original and operational; however, the radio is missing, and while the heater works, it is not adjustable just warm. The AC is also not functioning.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    The bodywork is generally straight and solid, with some blisters and small rust spots, primarily around the wheel arches and sills (see pictures). The body kit requires some adjustments and fixes in certain areas. The car has been repainted and has a few marks and touch-ups. The driver's door features a slightly different color shade. The underbody shows signs of previous welding work, and the sills have been replaced. Overall, it looks good, although there is some surface rust present, mainly on the components.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    Overall, it’s a good-running car that is solid but needs someone to transform it into a fun street car or to take it further toward a rally or racing car. Either way, you have options, and it is valued at an attractive price.

When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
