This car belonged to a well-known Värnamo car enthusiast who also owned a small museum. The car has been in the same family for 28 years and was most recently used in the summer of 2016 to drive it for inspection, which it passed with flying colors. Everything in the engine, gearbox, and brakes works fine now that it has been restarted and driven. However, because it hasn't been driven in a long time, a full service is recommended. It appears to have spent the majority of its life in Småland (previously Växjö) and has performed admirably in terms of paint, body, and interior (probably because it has been stored and garaged properly). It has an older repaint from the 1980s that looks good, but the rear wings and tailgate have blisters in the paint. Despite the fact that it has not been renovated, there is no evidence of rust damage and the car is in good condition. The car appears to have traveled slightly more than 100,000 kilometers when we examine the details and test drive it. At this point, the meter restarts, and the current total mileage is 100,725 kilometers; it cannot be guaranteed, but it feels accurate in comparison to its condition.

Following the inspection/MOT in 2016, the car is now inspection-free for the rest of its life. After a few years of rest, a few miles of test driving, and everything appears to be in working order technically. A new oil change has also taken place.

Interior design that is complete and stylish, with all original details in place. Seats in black leather, most likely upholstered, are tastefully done.

According to the owner's relatives, the body was renovated with new paint in the late 1980s. Since then, the car hasn't been driven much. See image for chrome oxided spots on the rear bumper. The bottom left door has paint damage and cracked paint. Small blisters can be seen beneath the paint on the tailgate and left front wing (see photos).

Overall, both the inside and outside make a good first impression. It is an original car with all of its details and features. It has a few cosmetic flaws that can be fixed or be used as it is.

Fakten zum Modell
MB 190 SL tillverkades 1955 - 1963 i totalt 25881 exemplar. Förebilden var den större 300 SL men i enklare och billigare utförande. En 190 SL kostade 1955 16.500 D-mark medan en 300 SL kostade nästan det dubbla, 29.000 D-mark. Mycket hämtades från 4-dörrars sedanserien såsom den nya motorn med överliggande kamaxel, fram och bakvagn och andra mekaniska delar. Karossen är dock en helt egen för att ge eleganta linjer. Vid en renovering kan således reservdelar från pontonmodellen användas vilket ger en lättare och billigare renovering än av 300 SL.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
