Beschreibung

The owner of this car is indeed the ideal person to buy from, given their extensive dedication to restoring vintage 1930s cars. Their wealth of knowledge and extensive network of contacts make them an invaluable resource for sourcing rare body parts and essential components for long-term restoration projects. What sets this owner apart is their unwavering commitment to excellence, as evidenced by their willingness to spare no expense during the renovation process, ensuring the utmost quality and attention to detail to restore the car to its original glory.

The car's history is equally fascinating, with records dating back to its initial registration in 1938 in Sweden, as depicted in the attached archival images. It has a remarkable lineage, having remained within the same family for many years, culminating with its ownership by Army Major Wilkström from Uddevalla, who acquired the car in 1946 and retained it until 1960. Following that period, the car's history becomes less clear, but it eventually ended up in a scrapyard. In the 1990s, the current owner stumbled upon this hidden treasure, which had undergone some partial renovation. However, the owner embarked on an extensive restoration project that culminated in its official registration in 2000. Today, it not only enjoys exemption from inspections but also in a fully operational condition. This achievement serves as a testament to the extraordinary care and dedication invested in its meticulous restoration.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

Throughout the restoration and subsequent maintenance, virtually all worn mechanical components have been replaced. The engine was rebuilt upon purchase, and over the years clutch, carburetor, electrical components, starter motor, brakes, suspension, and more have been meticulously replaced and upgraded. Due to limited usage over the past year, it is advisable to consider a minor routine service and tune-up is recommended.

  • Zustand Interieur:

No expenses were spared when it came to the interior, as it underwent a complete renovation. The seats and door cards were reupholstered in leather, the carpets were replaced, and the wooden panel and dashboard were expertly refurbished by Woodman. Additionally, a newer convertible roof was installed, and the chrome details and trims were rechromed. Despite these updates taking place a few years ago, the interior is still in a fine condition.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

The entire bodywork underwent a comprehensive restoration process, including stripping it down to the bare structure for repair and renovation. New old stock (NOS) front wings were installed, and the vehicle received a professional repaint, with all chrome parts expertly rechromed. As a result, the bodywork today displays a straight and well-fitted panel configuration, boasting a vibrant and rust-free paint finish. The underbody is in pristine condition and has several newer components, as evident in the provided pictures. The only minor issue to note is some slight cracking in the rubber on the running board.

  • Zustand gesamt:

If you're in search of an exceptionally rare vintage Nash in superbly renovated condition, offering the prospect of many delightful years of motoring enjoyment, then this is the perfect choice for you.
