"Fantastic car with incredible driving pleasure and surprisingly good comfort. It has never been repainted or had any damages. Flawless exterior and interior. Recently serviced at 9000 km."

This car was manufactured in December 2020 in England and is specified according to the model code for the German market. It was imported to Sweden in March 2021 by the authorized Bentley dealer Automotion AB in Lidingö, Stockholm. The car was then sold to a private individual in Åkersberga shortly thereafter. It has since been owned by a couple of car dealers and finance companies before being sold to the current owner in March 2022. At that time, it had only traveled just under 800 miles. The current owner, a car enthusiast from outside Helsingborg, has driven 140 miles with the car and is selling it for health reasons following a skiing accident.

We have thoroughly inspected the car in every detail and found nothing to criticize. There are no scratches or stone chips to be found (the front and external handles, among other things, are covered with clear, invisible stone chip film PPF, installed in Sweden). The tires and wheels are flawless. There are no scrapes on the undercarriage, and no wear on the interior. It has always been kept in a garage and has never been driven on wet or dirty roads. The feeling of a brand-new car is evident.

Among the equipment specifications, you can mention GT-Body Style, carbon details, Paint Ludus Blue, Electrachromic roof, Sports Exhaust, Titanium Finisher, Luxe Design Jet Black, Jet Black Leather interior, B and W Audio System, Vehicle spec German, External floor mats, Parking sensors and camera, Alarm, Vehicle tracking system, Vehicle lift, and more.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

The car received a delivery service when it arrived in Sweden in March 2021. Since then, it has mostly been used as a display car. It has now been freshly serviced at 9000 km on September 30, 2023, at Lamborghini in Malmö, with no issues reported. Original documents are included with the car.

  • Zustand Interieur:

No remarks. Leather on the door sills, steering wheel, seats, and more without any scuffs.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

Beautiful mid-blue metallic color with a subtle shimmer. Black GT body details and glossy black trim. No remarks on any detail, and there have never been any.

  • Zustand gesamt:

An amazing car that has been praised in the press for its performance, luxurious interior, handling, and comfort. It's considerably more sporty than one might expect from a GT car, but it's also much more comfortable and drivable than comparable super sports cars. It's a super sports car that can be used year-round and offers the convenience of front and rear luggage compartments for carrying some bags.

Fakten zum Modell

"This is New!" (Article from Teknikens Värld, December 2019)

Engine: A twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, fundamentally the same as that of the McLaren 720S, powers the McLaren GT. However, the GT's engine is not just a detuned version; it's built to have a torque-focused character with unique engine components.

Space: The McLaren GT offers a generous amount of luggage space with 420 liters at the rear and 150 liters at the front, which is quite impressive for a sports car.

Infotainment: The GT features McLaren's latest infotainment system, which is five times faster than the previous version. It's user-friendly and efficient.

The Click in the Mechanics: When I press the aluminum gearshift paddle, I feel something I rarely experience in cars. The machined piece is something I could gaze at for hours, but it's that click, immediately followed by a new tone behind my back that fills my body with an unusual sensation. To feel at one with the car. Truly. When entering a hairpin, it snaps violently with each downshift, and the revs are high as I stomp down on second gear at the exit. It takes a few milliseconds before the turbo pressure is right, and all 620 horsepower come to life. Describing the acceleration as gut-wrenching might be redundant, but 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds is obligatory to mention. More impressive is the 0-200 km/h time, which is a flat nine seconds. The turbocharging makes itself known both to my insides and my ears; the build-up is clearer than in any other car, and the chirping when I lift off the throttle in the bend is pronounced. The precision and unique feeling in the steering confirm that the McLaren GT feels like an extension of my body. Yet, it never becomes twitchy or nervous. As the corner's angle increases, and the tires approach the edge of their comfort zone, there's a faint squeal. It's a mild understeer that the McLaren car offers, a moment I easily handle with my right foot at the exit of the corner. The stability control system in sport mode and the rear end go just as far as I recognize from both the McLaren 720S and this year's winner of the hill climb - the McLaren 600LT. Second gear becomes third, and third becomes fourth, the engine noise is loud, and the sound from the two generously sized exhausts is typically McLaren. Not nearly as melodious as many other engines, but powerful. The engine is a masterpiece to admire regardless of whether you like turbocharging or not. For the efficiency you get is delightful, and despite the linear power delivery, it never gets boring. Far from it; McLaren GT's V8 loves to rev beyond 8000 rpm. Actually, this isn't what the McLaren GT is all about, even though that's how I prefer to use a car with the potential the GT has. Of course, the car should behave like a McLaren, but this is the brand's most civilized model yet, with comfort and practicality in much higher focus than before. Still, I find it hard to immediately distinguish the GT from the 600LT and 720S, there's nothing I miss when pushing it to the limit. McLaren GT gives the driver everything one could wish for - the driving sensation is magical! If these three were driven in direct comparison, there would likely be more significant differences. And if you were to take the McLaren GT on the track, it would probably show weaknesses that it doesn't display here on some of France's best roads just above Nice. But the track is where the GT should shine. Seeing a mid-engined car with 620 horsepower and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.58 hp/kg as an everyday and long-distance car is difficult. Ideally, I drive with the Track mode all the time. But for those in Sweden who can actually buy a McLaren GT with a starting price just over two million Swedish Kronor, I turn the two mode selection dials to Comfort. McLaren has a unique system where the right of the dials on the center console sets the driveline mode, and the left sets the suspension mode. By clicking the dials, you can choose to shift manually with the right one and turn off the stability control system with the left one. Additionally, there's a button with the word "Active" that simply turns the dials on and off. If "Active" isn't lit up, the car is in normal mode. Whether McLaren GT is a comfortable car or not is a matter of definition. For a sports car, it's comfortable, but compared to a regular car, McLaren GT may come across as stiff (and probably noisy on Swedish roads). Behind the wheel, I don't miss any of the road's imperfections. But the suspension isn't so hard that it hurts the body. The seats have softer padding, and the difference from the carbon-fiber shell seats that McLaren offers for other models is significant. The bolstering is much less pronounced, and the padding is soft. One downside of the comfortable seats is that I can't adjust them precisely as I would like, neither lower nor forward. An important aspect in everyday life and for long journeys is luggage space. Something that doesn't align well with a mid-engine car. Here, however, the Brits have been clever and managed to create 570 liters of luggage space in the 468 cm long car. At the front, there's room for 150 liters, which can be compared to the 132 liters in the Porsche 911. But since the 911 has a rear engine and doesn't fit anything back there, unless you count the rear seats that the McLaren GT lacks, the GT offers 420 liters under the rear glass hatch. A large volume that can be compared to a regular car but is much more challenging to load in the McLaren. Still, you'll be surprised by how much you can actually fit!
Of course, McLaren claims that the GT is a GT car, but it's more of a slightly more comfortable and spacious sports car. The GT is not as performance-focused as its sibling models, but behind the wheel, there's nothing I miss. In addition, the comfort is better than most sports cars, and the amount of luggage you can take with you is impressive. This is the sports car for those who want to use it every day, year-round. Maybe the British should build a GT with all-wheel drive for us Nordics. Currently, only one engine, one gearbox, and rear-wheel drive are offered.

Four Questions:
Tom Taylor – Global Product Manager – McLaren GT
Which model is the GT based on?

It's not really based on any one model but rather a combination of parts from the 570S and 720S, but, of course, the GT has the most unique parts.
As the first McLaren, the GT has 21-inch wheels at the rear, which seems a bit odd when the GT is supposed to be your most comfortable car?

The tire profile is the same as for a 20-inch wheel, and the reason we went up in size is simply because the GT looked a bit weak with 20-inch wheels.
Do you have plans to build anything other than supercars?

No, I looked at the future plans for several years ahead before I came here, and I can announce that it's sports cars all the way and absolutely no SUV.
The McLaren 540C is your cheapest model; will you make anything cheaper than that?

We have the capacity to build 6,000 cars per year, and that's our goal to achieve with our existing range. We don't have the space or the need to expand our brand in that direction.
