The motorcycle has been part of a collection of vehicles in Sorsele. The late car collector Mr. Hedman was a recognized expert and passionate enthusiast who restored everything from motorcycles and tractors to cars. He worked as a caretaker for the Sorsele municipality for nearly 40 years and became a well-known motoring personality in the area. Bilweb Auctions has now been entrusted with selling the collection on behalf of the estate. Several of the vehicles are placed on jack stands to prevent the tires from being damaged during long-term storage. The vehicles could therefore not be moved out for photography, and in some cases it has not been possible to document the vehicles from all angles.
The motorcycle is an NSU Lux, equipped with a two-stroke engine of just under 200 cc. We do not know much about the history of this vehicle. What we do know is that in 1954 it was owned by a Mr. Oscarsson, who lived in Vännäs, Sorsele parish. It was removed from the County Administrative Board's vehicle register as early as 1958. This can be seen from the certified copy of the old registration certificate that accompanies the motorcycle. It still carries the license plate with the old county registration number AC 1517. It is therefore not registered in the current vehicle register. The buyer will consequently need to apply for an origin check (ursprungskontroll) with the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen), and once approved, the motorcycle must then undergo a registration inspection at the inspection station. The original owner's manual in German is included.

BWA has therefore not inspected the vehicle on site at the seller's location.

Equipped with an air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine of 198 cc producing approximately 9 hp. We do not know when the motorcycle was last started. Some parts are missing, such as the ignition cable, brake rod, throttle and clutch cables, hand brake cable, and more. This is what we have been able to determine, but additional parts may be missing. Please study the photos carefully for more information.

Fakten zum Modell
The NSU Lux was manufactured by NSU Werke Aktiengesellschaft in Neckarsulm, West Germany. The Swedish general agent and importer for NSU was Motorfirman Bengt Berg & Co AB in Gothenburg. A total of 78,845 examples of the NSU Lux, including the updated Superlux model, were produced by the factory in Germany between 1951 and 1956. There are no sales figures showing exactly how many of these came to Sweden through the general agent Bengt Berg & Co, but the model was, relatively speaking, one of the more common foreign 200 cc machines on Swedish roads during the 1950s. Today, there are 60 NSU Lux registered in the Swedish vehicle registry.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
