"The attention to detail on this car is impeccable, just as it should be on a 1960s rally/racing car. Since it has been owned and raced by one of Sweden's PV experts, the car runs and drives flawlessly. Also included in the purchase is a B18, not matching numbers "see pictures.. Beschreibung

B-O Nyman owners history:

The car was bought on September 28, 1965 at Karlbergs Bil in Ulricehamn, and was then equipped directly as a competition car with, among other things, a beam with double shock absorbers, skidplates, Smith tachometer, Auto Trygg shock absorbers with reinforced brackets, reinforced rear suspension, extra lights Marchal + Bosch, Marchal floodlights, GT driver's seat, speed-pilot, etc.

The car entered about 70 competitions between September 1965 until August 1968. The car also entered various ice and track competitions.

The reason why the car became black/white was that at the time I also had a black PV 444 which I repainted after changing the doors, wings, and bonnet. The paint at that time was a home-made paint job, and for example wing and such were often painted with basic black paint. Often there were therefore a variety of different paint finishes on the car when it was raced.

When I have now renovated my PV sport, I have tried to restore the car to the same condition as I had it, during my racing years in the 60s. Therefore, all modern accessories are approved for e.g. 0, OT-B, OT-A T and Rally competitions.

Now, after about 700 hours of work, the car is in the condition you see it now. Everything is certainly not one hundred percent, but it shouldn't be either in my opinion, because you also have to use and drive the car as it is intended, with such a rally car.

Why are you looking for your old car again, someone asks?

This car has always been in my mind, and I have regretted it so many times, since the time I sold it. At the beginning of September 1993, I therefore decided to start looking for it again. With the help of the transports department, I found the car in Jönköping, where it had been sold. The registration number at the time was F92443.

I then also received the reply that the car was still alive and that it now had registration number GKK143, and was owned by a Mr. Uno Ström in Långås.
I contacted him both by letter and phone, and tried to buy it back, but it was not for sale. After two years of contact and negotiation, however, Uno got in touch and said that the Volvo was now for sale. The deal was agreed and Håkan Johansson and I went immediately and picked up the PV, which was then back at the home of its first owner again.

When I replaced it in 1968, it was in great condition. Among other things, the roof, sills and body panels were completely freshly painted. When I bought it back, it was unfortunately in a very bad condition, but luckily some racing stuff was still there.

From 1999-2009, the car then entered several downhill competitions such as Ånnaboda, Rättvik, Uddevalla + about 20 other competitions, etc., so after the renovation, the PV really got to show its colors in these competitions. After the renovation, both the car and its B20 engine have run completely flawlessly over the years.

The car also comes with renovated and painted white bonnet, boot lid, two rear wings and lights, and two front wings and lights. Easy to fit if you want a more original looking car.
