The current owner bought the car to restore it, to like new condition. He now chooses to sell the car for health reasons. The car makes a good first impression. It has the potential to be really nice with a new paint job and completion of the specific 123 GT accessories such as extra lights and rearview mirrors etc. The odometer reading is 88420 km. The documentation proving mileage is missing. The original engine has been replaced with a B20. The instruction manual and original jack are missing.
The car is inspected and ready to drive. According to the 50-year rule, it is now also exempt from inspection.

Zustand technisch
The B18 sports engine has been replaced by a B20. The engine has dual SU carburettors. The gearbox engages overdrive without problems. The car starts and runs well. There is some valve slamming in classic Volvo B20 fashion. A certain transmission noise is heard during the test drive. We think it might be the rear axle making a little noise. Equipped with a two-inch sports exhaust system.

Zustand Interieur
Good seats with only minor wear, with correct chromed fittings and nice door cards. Changing to new floor mats would give the interior a boost. The GT steering wheel is worn with cracks in the bakelite and signal buttons. It has a working tachometer. Nice padding on the dashboard.

Zustand Exterieur
The car has an old repaint that has received some defects. The paint has cracked in several places. The left front wing has been replaced and has only been given rust-protective paint. The body is straight. There is an indentation on the left door. Chrome and trim are in usable condition. The trim around the front and rear windows are missing. In front of the windshield towards the A-pillars, the panel has been sanded down and then a rust-protective paint has been applied. See picture. Additional lights and the rear mirrors are not the original GT type. Floor wells are rusted on the top side, apart from a small hole on the driver's side it doesn't appear to be rusted through. See pictures. The car is nice underneath and has been rustproofed. The left sill has blisters, see picture.

There are some issues. The car is in usable condition and a good subject for a rolling renovation.

Fakten zum Modell
123 GT var bland annat utrustade med speciella backspeglar på skärmarna, Hella dim-, och fjärrljus, snobbringar och radialdäck. Bakom kylargrillen satt starktonshorn. Invändigt var 123 GT utrustad med varvräknare på instrumentbrädan, en speciell treekrad sportratt och kromade fällbeslag på framstolarna. Det fanns även belysning i motorrum och bagage.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
