Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
Starts easily and runs smoothly in both engine and drivetrain. During a calm test drive around northern Djurgården, the steering, handling, clutch, gear shifts, and brakes all performed well. The front end felt a bit firm over bumps, but nothing out of the ordinary. The engine and exhaust deliver a delightful sound.
The car hasn’t been inspected on a lift, but all visible components appeared to be in good condition, and there were no remarks from the vehicle inspection (Bilprovning). According to the owner, the underside is in good shape. -
Zustand Interieur
The interior appears to be original and in good condition. Seats offer solid support and comfort, and the textile carpets are well-kept, with additional protective floor mats included.
The steering wheel, controls, dashboard, and gauges are all in nice shape. All electrical functions seem to be working properly.
A newer stereo is installed. Fire extinguisher included—functionality uncertain. -
Zustand Exterieur
The car has been repainted following body restoration. The paint is in good condition overall, with some light discoloration—likely hard water deposits—that should be possible to polish out. The lower body features the typical 1980s-style textured "body" coating. There are a few minor dents, scratches, stone chips, and a small area of bubbling on the right rear wheel arch.
Glass, trim, emblems, and lighting components are all in good condition. The headlight covers are newer, while the grille section was slightly loose and the front bumper parts show minor damage.
The soft top is in good, easy-to-maintain condition, with the rear plastic window showing typical light scratching from use.
Wheels are in fine shape and fitted with newer Pirelli tires.
Engine bay and luggage compartment are in condition appropriate for the car’s age and mileage. -
Zustand gesamt
This car, the final model year of Series II, combines the early design with later interior and mechanical updates—widely regarded by many as the ideal version of the Spider. And when finished in classic Alfa Red, it ticks even more of the right boxes.
Presented in a well-maintained, user-friendly condition with solid functionality throughout. The legendary twin-cam engine delivers the performance and character Alfa is known for.
All in all, this is a fine classic and enthusiast vehicle with genuine collector appeal.

Fakten zum Modell
Despite a turbulent and varied history over the decades, Alfa Romeo has consistently launched a wealth of iconic models—many with strong sporting ambitions and design flair.
One of its most enduring classics is the Spider, a convertible based on the Giulia 105 and later the 115 platform, styled by Pininfarina. It followed the traditional European sports car formula: front engine, rear-wheel drive.
The Spider became one of the longest-running convertible models in production, spanning model years from 1966 to 1993 (with the final cars labeled as 1994 models).
The first version, Series I, gained international fame when Dustin Hoffman drove one in the 1967 film The Graduate. Series I featured the distinctive plexiglass headlight covers and a rounded rear end. It was affectionately given several nicknames over time—Duetto, Osso di Seppia, and Roundtail, to name a few.
In 1970, Series II was introduced, keeping the same front but with a more angular rear end. The 1983 model year saw the arrival of Series III, with redesigned front and rear sections, including a rubber rear spoiler. This version remained in production until 1990, when Series IV arrived with a more modernized appearance, removing the rear rubber lip and featuring new front and rear styling.
Throughout its life, the Spider was offered with a variety of engines ranging from 1,290 cc to 1,962 cc.
In total, Alfa Romeo produced 124,104 rear-wheel-drive Spider models between 1966 and 1993—cementing its place as one of the brand’s most beloved and enduring classics.
