It was delivered new to its original owner in Malmberget in the spring of 1963 and has since remained in Norrland, especially in Gällivare area, where the previous owner has used it rarely. When it was agreed that he would relocate to Stockholm with his family, the present owner took over upkeep of the car. It has now been inspected/MOT and serviced with new brakes and clutch. It's now time to clean the rubber mats, wash the engine, wipe down the cabin, and clean beneath the luggage mat. In addition, the surface rust in the boot and engine compartments must be fixed. Documentation is excellent, including the earliest registration certificate and one of the first inspection protocols. The old inspection record dated 1967 is almost certainly the car's first examination. The car was last inspected just over a month ago, on 23/3/22, and is so exempt from inspection. Mileage now it 25991 km but probably driven at least 125,000 km?

The current owner has renovated the brakes and clutch, and the B18 engine feels lively and healthy.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is good, but the driver's backrest cloth needs be replaced. A Volvo original car blanket was used to conceal the rip. After a thorough washing, these original rubber mats hold a lot of promise. Rubber mats from Amazon are hard to get by in new condition these days.

Nice exterior, straight in the bodywork and what appears to be original paint. Surface rust in the spare wheel tub and a little in the engine compartment, but very nice and fresh underbody.

The car is in good shape; it just needs a good cleaning and a few cosmetic fixes to shine.

Fakten zum Modell
När Volvo Amazon från och med årsmodell 1962 fick den nya B18-motorn på 75 hk istället för den trötta B16-maskinen blev det ett lyft för modellen. Mera ofta än sällan trimmad, fixad och älskad som en ungdomsbil på sjuttiotalet är den idag en omtyckt och okomplicerad entusiastbil med snygga och i viss mån tidlösa linjer. Den sista årsmodellen 1970 känns bland annat igen på den starkare B20-motorn som kom 1969 och nackskydden fram. Den 3:e juli 1970 rullade den sista Amazonen av bandet i fabriken i Torslanda.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
