It is not often that one comes across a car in this condition with this mileage. The Saab is in very good driving condition and runs and sounds as it should. The current owner has owned the Saab since 2015.
It has mainly been used for various car events and short trips during the summer months. The car has received a new exhaust system, a new battery, a new convertible top, and renovated front brakes. It has always been stored indoors in a garage and has been well taken care of. A major service was done at 22,890 miles and the current mileage is approximately 22,920 miles.
The Saab is insured by MHRF (the Swedish National Federation of Historic Vehicles) and has been inspected without any remarks on April 19, 2023. An instruction manual is included.
The first model year of the 900 convertible was 1986, and that year all 400 cars produced were sold to the United States. In 1987, the model was sold in Sweden and Europe for the first time, with a total of 2,500 cars produced, of which 500 were sold in Sweden. Zustand Interieur
The leather of the chairs is somewhat dry and would benefit from some leather balm. The glove compartment has the classic vinyl bubbles. The fabric on the passenger door is loose, see picture. The interior is otherwise in a good condition.

The Saab 900 Cabriolet was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983, which caused a stir in the automotive press. A four-seater convertible without a roll bar was a big deal, and in the first year of production in 1986, only about 400 cars were sold in the United States. The following year, when the 900 was introduced with its sloping front end, the convertible was available for all markets, and as before, it was produced in Finland.
In total, 48,880 Saab Cabriolets were built until 1993. In the last two years, they had airbags and ABS. The Saab 900 Cabriolet was available both with and without turbo, and from 1988, the turbo was water-cooled. The toughest variant is the 16S Cabriolet with an Aero look.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
