This is a Swedish-sold car that was delivered new in 1965. The current owner purchased it in 2016 and used it as a summer car. It hasn't been driven much in the last few years, so a thorough service and brake inspection are in order. The car runs and drives, and it is free of inspections/MOT for the rest of its life. The car was renovated and repainted to a good standard many years ago and is currently in good condition on the outside. The leather seats and healdiner is worn, but the interior is in decent condition. It has American lights, a 250 engine, and an automatic transmission has been fitted at some point. The current mileage is 8060 km, despite the fact that it has most surely gone around the clock twice?

Zustand Interieur
The interior is clean and presentable, but the leather seats and headliner have minor flaws (see photos). The seats are most likely from another model from the same era. The factory sunroof is a nice feature, and the dashboard panel has been repaired around the clock.

The bodywork is straight, and the paintwork is nice and clean, with little stone chips and good chromework. There are no visible signs of rust, and the underbody has earlier welding work, as are all other models from this era. The car has a good presentable exterior.

It's an excellent choice for someone looking for a stylish Mercedes to drive around in the summer. It's not a collector car, but with proper service and evaluation, it's a very usable classic.

Fakten zum Modell
W111, fen-Mercan här hemma eller Heckflosse på tyska, var sextiotalet stora Mercedes som på många sätt lade grunden till S-Klass, Sonderklasse. Versionerna 220 Sb med förgasare eller 220 SE med insprutning. Modellen var förhållandevis kortlivad då karossens femtiotalsinspirerade fenor, som skulle flirta med den amerikanska marknaden, snabbt blev omoderna på sextiotalet. Ersättaren, W108, presenterades redan 1965, även om W111 hängde i några år till.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
