Beschreibung
He kept the car for 30 years. In the final years, it was stored in the garage. In 1996, his nephew took over the car. He repaired and inspected it, and then it was used as a second car. It is important to note the distinction between renovating and repairing here. Repairing involves addressing necessary issues, such as brakes, rust damage, and other factors that impede the car's usability. In 1996, the owner removed all the fenders and repaired the body's fender attachments. Both doors were also replaced at the same time. Otherwise, the car has undergone regular maintenance. It was inspected by the vehicle inspection authority in 2016 and is now exempt from inspections.
Currently, the car has driven nearly 26,000 miles. The odometer reads 2,599 miles. Since it has been in the same family since new, it is known with certainty that the odometer has rolled over twice. The original instruction manual, warranty certificate, service booklet, and many inspection reports are included. Some extra parts are also included.
The next owner can choose to continue using the car as a daily driver and perform regular repairs and maintenance. Alternatively, they can see it as an opportunity to restore a PV of the final model year. It is a genuine, slightly worn but completely unspoiled vehicle that has been owned by the same family since new. The history comes along with it.

Zustand Interieur
The original interior from 1965 shows signs of wear from use. The rubber floor mats have aged and are slightly brittle but reasonably intact. The headliner is in good condition with minor holes above the driver's door. The rear seat and door panels appear to have held up well, while the front seats show more wear. Please refer to the pictures for reference. The left kick panel is missing. A period-correct radio is included separately. The cabin and trunk are in need of a thorough cleaning. The rubber mat in the trunk is in unusually good condition. The car is equipped with original three-point seat belts.

Zustand Exterieur
The majority of the paintwork appears to be original. The doors were repainted in 1996, and there are touch-ups throughout the car. The touch-up color does not quite match the original paint. There are blisters and rust spots present. The right front jack point requires attention, as shown in the picture. The front bumper has been slightly dented. The chrome and trim show signs of wear. The car has undergone some older sheet metal repairs, mainly in the floor and rear inner fenders. There is surface rust in the spare wheel well, but it does not appear to be rusted through. Please refer to the video where we inspect the wheel well.

Zustand gesamt
A genuine everyday car in a well-used, unaltered condition. There are some remarks, mainly of a cosmetic nature.

Fakten zum Modell
The Volvo PV, in various configurations, was used as both everyday cars, utility vehicles, and rally cars. Many new drivers took their first hesitant turns of the steering wheel and attempts at gear shifting in a PV. The PV received updates over the years, and when the PV544F was introduced in August 1964, it featured new silver-colored wheels with oval cooling holes, smaller hubcaps, and new emblems.
Production of the PV model ceased to make way for the Volvo 144, which premiered in the fall of 1965. On October 20, 1965, the last PV rolled off the assembly line in Gothenburg. By that time, a total of 440,000 units had been manufactured during the 21 years that the car was in production.
