The car has had few owners who have taken good care of it. The current owner's great grandfather owned it from the beginning and his son after him. It was parked in 1993 and stored in a barn. He bought it in 2019 and began renovating and starting it up again. The fenders had already been replaced so he arranged for a new paint job.

Going well, has been serviced by the current owner with a renovated brake system, and more. There is a slight noise coming from the clutch release bearing.

Original interior in good condition, with all nice seats and an unblemished headliner. The panel near the back window is somewhat worn.

To a large extent, the original paint is preserved, the front fenders have been replaced and nicely repainted. An older, simpler paint job has been done on the passenger door. The chrome is in good condition, including the wheels and tires. It has also held up well against rust attacks.

Fakten zum Modell
Kadett B was introduced in 1966 and had grown in all dimensions, but it was mainly based on the same technology as its predecessor. All Kadett B models had front transverse springs. From 1966 to 1967, they had leaf springs at the rear, while from 1968 to 1973, they were equipped with coil springs, except for the Caravan model, which retained leaf springs. An odd version called the Olympia was also available, which was a slightly more luxurious variant than the Kadett. However, apart from ornamentation and engines, it was identical to the Kadett.
Larger engines were also introduced. The standard engine was now 1100cc, but there were also options for 1500cc, 1700cc, and later, 1900cc in the popular Rally-Kadett (Coupé) and Kadett Sport (Sedan). The powerful 90 DIN hp engine provided the Rally-Kadett and Kadett Sport with excellent performance, and they were extensively used in motor races, achieving great success. Inspired by this, Opel built an even stronger Rally-Kadett with the 1900cc engine tuned to 106 DIN hp. This version was named "Sprint," similar to the larger Rekord when equipped with the tuned engine.
As a curiosity, it should be mentioned that since the Kadett B was not originally designed for the larger 1500/1700/1900 engines, it was not possible to lift the engine upwards. Instead, the front suspension had to be disassembled, and the engine had to be lowered under the car!

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
