Beschreibung

The DS convertible was initially built by world famous coach builder Chapron purchased these vehicles and customized them as one-off creations. Many of these became unique convertible variants. He soon supplied Citroën directly, distributing a "Décapotable usine" (factory convertible) through their worldwide dealership network - 1,365 cars in all were built.
This car is particularly interesting as it’s the only model year 1967 that combines the old front with round headlamps and new mineral oil-based suspension system. This makes this a very sought after car with the right body shape with the more practical LHM oil system.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    We have overhauled the suspension system, drained the fuel system, new fluids, reconditioned starter motor, spark plugs and inspected the brakes. The meter says 38 300 km, but it has probably driven 100,000 km and the total is most likely 138 200 km. Upgraded from 2 till 3 now in a fully drivable condition.
    Although drained, the tank still contains sediment of old fuel and the car now runs with an extra fuel filter which has to be changed when it fills up with sediment.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    All original leather seats with a clean and tidy interior. We recommend a proper deep clean and leather treatment and then it’s easily upgraded to be a 4

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    Totally amazing virtually rust free body and underbody, with its original paint. You can find a few small knocks and paint defects and only a small 6 cm rust hole on the rear back wheel arch. The roof is complete and fits well but will need replacing due the rips on the outer fabric, missing wing mirror on the passenger side. The paint work would be enhanced with a good polish or otherwise keep it like it is. The tank lid was missing because the former owner sent it some twenty years ago to England as colour sample. It was duly lost and the lid is now replaced with a similar looking colour lid in Rouge Bourdeax. Furthermore, it has a dent underneath the front bumper to the driver's left and the lower chrome strips on the front wings are missing.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    Its hard to find a DS cabriolet for a realistic price, so here is your chance. She runs and looks great and is amazingly rust free and solid.

Bilens registreringsnummer har avförts i bilregistret för denna bil då den stått undanställd i många år och registerhållningsavgiften ej blivit betald, detta på grund av sjukdom.
Med det gamla numret som nu sitter på bilen kan man göra en ursprungskontroll och registreringsbesiktning. Detta får köparen ordna med själv, men kontakt kan förmedlas till företag i Göteborg som ombesörjer registreringsproceduren till köparen för självkostnad plus timersättning om så önskas.

Fakten zum Modell

En DS, en gudinna, déesse en francais, ansågs av många när den presenterades i mitten av femtiotalet vara ett under av framsynthet i bilutvecklingen. Under de tjugo år som modellen tillverkades förnyades den några gånger, men var trogen design och teknik mest hela vägen. En viktig förändring skedde 1967 när det avancerade, men enkelt geniala, hydrauliska fjädringssystemet begåvades med en ny grön hydraulolja som var snällare mot all ytbehandling liksom även mot huden på människor. Den gamla vätskan, inte helt olik vanlig bromsvätska, var aggressiv mot allt och dessutom hygroskopisk, det vill säga att den drog till sig vatten. Inget bra för ett fjädringssystem med hydraulrör och behållare i rostvänlig metall.
