The engine is derived from the classic normally aspirated 3.2 liter inline six, but multiplied by a factor of 1.4, used from power rating in motorsport at the time, it translates the engine displacement to 4.48 and thus 745i.
From 1982, the actual engine size increased to 3.4 liters, but the 252 hp and the 745 badge remained unchanged. According to all sources, the Executive version has only been manufactured in 396 units of the total production of 16,168 745i E23:s. The Buffalo leather interior in the colour Nutria meant, besides seats and backs, also leather on doors, center console, glove compartment, B-pillars, gear knob and the parking brake handle. The walnut inserts are of course genuine.
This car was imported as early as 1989 and since the in normal daily use for a few years until stowed away in a cold garage. A little scent from that storage can still be felt, but a thorough reconditioning has been done both inside and outside of the car.

At the start-up after its long standstill in the garage the fuel pumps, ignition cables, plugs, filter and oils changed. The fuel tank was drained and cleaned.
The engine runs well, but the more it runs, the better it gets. It do need the exercise. -

The full Buffalo leather interior is truly a full leather interior. The leather has really an exclusive texture, pattern and feel to it.

The paintwork has had a thorough polish and the somewhat plain colour Alpinweiss makes the car even moore than with a subtle dark metallic paint.
