"The vehicles that were called grandpa's cars in the 1940s and 1950s are facing a small renaissance with new, younger curious owners. This is an especially fun example."

Beschreibung

The car was imported to Sweden as early as 1918 by landowner Erlandsson from Ravlunda Österlen in Skåne. Between 1970 and 1974, it was renovated and registered for traffic by the previous owner, who also had to reconstruct parts of the body during the renovation. The current owner bought the car in 1975 and has been a frequent visitor with it at various gatherings and rallies for this type of vehicle. At one gathering, the motor-interested Prince Bertil was curious about the car, entered it with some difficulty to the driver's seat, and asked if he could test drive it. Of course, he was allowed to do so.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

The hand throttle in the center of the steering wheel and the clutch pedal control the little four-cylinder engine with 24 horsepower. The clutch pedal is located next to the brake pedal. The gear lever and parking brake are located to the driver's right. For more efficient fuel supply, the engine compartment also houses a high-placed extra compact fuel tank. The car hasn't been driven in many years, and the cause is said to be a problem with the magnetic seal.

  • Zustand Interieur:

A typical fine leather couch and a stylish instrument panel entirely of wood. Beautiful brass trinkets including a simple folding sun visor covered with canvas fabric.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

Beautiful olive green paint with nice brass and wood details. The body has a clever rear hatch, almost like a flatbed with a cargo area. When the car was re-registered in 1975, the then-owner had to install matching turn signals, but this was not something that existed in the 1910s. Back then, they probably mostly used hand signals.

  • Zustand gesamt:

A worthy and beautiful vehicle from a time when many different mechanical manufacturers and factories jumped on the new automotive trend that must have seemed like an incredibly exciting path to embark on.
