Early W113 SL with an interesting history, including a Swedish ambassador in Belgium as an owner and an import to Sweden in the mid 70's. A Pagoda with a sporty luxury, yet user friendly, feeling and attitude.

Beschreibung

This Pagoda was reportedly bought by the Swedish ambassador in Brussels and imported to Sweden in June 1975. The car was sold a few years later to a man in Helsingborg that made full body renovation in the mid-eighties and repainted in burgundy color originally it was blue. Since then the car has been used very sparingly and the current owner has had it standing unused in his collection for the last seven years.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    The pictures underneath the car show its thoroughly fine technical condition. The engine could not be started at the time of documentation, the fuel pump and injection nozzles are under renovation.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    The décor appears to be original, this particular copy has vinyl seats that are whole and clean without any cracks. The European back seat is currently unmounted. .

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    Deep Burgundy Red paint has a beautiful shine, it can be an original color, but we have not been able to determine exactly which one. According to information in the Car Register, the car was blue at the time of importation in 1975. The color code plate should be in the engine compartment at the top left side, but its missing. Repainted after a well-executed body renovation in the eighties, the car feels almost like an original car. During the same renovation, a new roof was also installed, and it appears that it has never been raised, the rear window cover remains in place.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    The paint has a couple of small dry cracks that doesn’t disturb the overall impression; it’s been very well kept over the years and remains stylish.

Fakten zum Modell

Mercedes SL 230 började produceras juni 1963 tills Januari 1967 och var baserad på Mercedes W111 sedan karossen, 230 SL fick en kortare hjulbas på ca 30cm. Fram tills 1966 fanns 230 SL bara med automatisk växellåda. 1966 fanns det som tillval att få ZF S5-20 5-växlad manuell. Mercedes SL 230 kördes av chefsingenjören på Annemasse Vétraz-Monthoux för att visa vad den kunde göra och fick en three-quarter mile tid på 47.5 sekunder. Tiden var millisekunder från Grand Prix föraren Mike Parks, som körde en Ferrari GT 250 V12 på 47.3 sekunder.

Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
