This moped was offered at auction in July. Upon further inspection after the auction concluded, it was discovered that the rear light was not working and that the gear positions needed minor adjustment. A moped expert has now replaced the bulb, adjusted the gear indicator and changed the gearbox oil. The moped is now fully roadworthy.
This was one of Mustang's absolutely coolest models and was manufactured only during a short period in the mid-1970s, between 1974 and 1975. It features a motorcycle-type front fork and hydraulic rear shock absorbers and is today highly sought after among collectors of vintage mopeds. Whilst the Mustang Mamba was manufactured in large quantities and the Mustang Cobra is also relatively common, the Anaconda is considerably rarer. Many young people thought it was too expensive compared to the Mamba at the time, which means there are relatively few remaining today. The moped's owner had an identical one when she was 15 years old and purchased this one a few years ago purely for nostalgia. She now drives a Chevrolet Biscayne instead and is therefore selling her fine Mustang Anaconda. The moped is roadworthy for summer adventures.

Zustand technisch
Equipped with the classic 50 cc Zündapp 278-08 engine, which means 3-speed foot-shift with kick-start, fitted with a cone-clutch gearbox and the older type of narrow splines on the gear shaft. Very easy to start and runs well. We believe that previous owners may have made some performance modifications to the moped, so we cannot guarantee its exact speed.

Zustand Exterieur
Resprayed in the original colour. We do not know exactly when this was done, likely 10-15 years ago with very good results. We have found a few small paint blisters on the right side of the tank, you have to look carefully to spot them. Original saddle with minor marks. The rear wheel rim has some surface rust. The result is a tough machine that is nice to look at, quality in every detail, comfortable to ride and it has surprising pulling power!
It is a 6hp motorcycle engine that has been tuned down to 1hp (Zündapp 278-08 LO). Motorcycle-type front fork. Oil damper at the rear and full brake hub with 120mm diameter. Headlight with 120mm light opening for fast and safe night driving. Comfortable saddle designed for long journeys. The Anaconda has stainless steel mudguards, double stand and a neat 7-liter tank plus 0.8 liters in reserve.

When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
