Beschreibung
The current owner purchased the car in 2011. The previous owner had already invested considerable time and money in improving it mechanically. Among other things, the car had been fitted with a new starter motor, generator, gearbox and a contactless ignition system. The carburettors were renovated and the car was also given new wheels and tyres.
Under the current ownership, the car has continued to be developed. Rust damage to the floor and the left front frame rail, where the radiator and bumper mountings are located, has been repaired. At the same time, it was discovered that the car had previously been repaired and resprayed twice – from its original colour Glacier White to various red shades. To give the car a uniform and fresh appearance, it was therefore repainted in cherry red Volvo colour (code 46). New bumpers were fitted and a new sump plug cover completed the overall impression.
The braking and clutch systems have also been overhauled. Brake discs, brake calipers and brake hoses have been replaced, the rear wheel cylinders and master brake cylinder have been restored, the clutch has been replaced with a new one and both the master cylinder and slave cylinder of the clutch have been serviced. In addition, a new radiator has been installed.
According to the owner, the MG has been both reliable and very enjoyable to drive. Over the years it has participated in many veteran rallies and car meets without any problems. He also says that driving pleasure is a large part of the car's personality – this is a car that makes the shortest route rarely feel like the best option.
This is a classic British sports car with an interesting history, mechanical improvements and an owner who has taken time to preserve and maintain the car.

Zustand technisch
Runs well in engine and drivetrain but the engine is felt to need overhaul of carburetor and ignition timing. The speedometer is recalibrated to km/h but the odometer is still in miles.

Zustand Interieur
Used with signs of wear but functioning as it is. The marks visible on the car's upholstery are polishing wax that has splattered from the polishing machine.
-
Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork is in normal, used condition with minor marks, see pictures. The car's chrome trim is in good condition. The hood fits well and is in fine condition.
-
Zustand gesamt
A fine used classic in a condition that appeals to someone who wants to use the MG as it is, or someone who wants to improve it without requiring extensive modifications or work. Inspected at the vehicle testing station and ready to drive.

Fakten zum Modell
Under the bonnet sits BMC's well-known four-cylinder engine which, combined with the car's low weight, delivered sprightly performance and a highly entertaining driving experience. The precise steering, direct gearbox and low seating position mean that even modest speeds feel exhilarating.
The car is built to be enjoyed on winding country roads rather than long motorway stretches. The manual soft top is simple to lower and the car offers the classic open roadster feel that has made British sports cars famous throughout the world. The construction is uncomplicated and spare parts availability remains very good, making the model appreciated even among those who like to tinker themselves.
