Beschreibung
There is no rust damage and the paint is original. The model is not among the most common, as it has a real 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission which VW developed for the US market for these models year, instead of the otherwise standard semi-automatic. 1969 is also the first year of electronic injection, (the same one that came in the Porsche 914 the following year), which yielded around 10% power increase. All in all this is a car in a nice collector's condition; it is non-renovated and is surprisingly fresh. In addition, it has a special design and is also an unusual model.
Engine runs and registration paperwork is available.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
We had the car in the workshop and changed fuel hoses, cleaned the tank, checked oils and started the car. During a short test drive, the car runs nicely in the engine and gears. The brakes need a review, they pull unevenly. The car has not been inspected/MOT since 1989 so the next one will be last time.
-
Zustand Interieur
Nice and complete with all its details with a small crack on the top of the dashboard. Seat cover fitted on front seats, and underneath the seat fabric is complete and slightly worn.
-
Zustand Exterieur
Very nice body and paint work.
-
Zustand gesamt
Very nice in a collector's condition, will need a full service before hitting the road.
