Beschreibung
The first owner or owners were clearly enthusiastic drivers, covering over 70,000 km in the first two years. Regardless of the ownership inconsistencies in various records, the current owner—from 1984 until today, now his estate—used the car very sparingly, and since 2015 the Porsche has essentially been stored in a garage.
He was also generous with rust protection treatments, which is clearly visible in areas such as the door hinges and in the front trunk near the front panel. The most recent approved inspection was carried out on April 18, 2015.

Zustand technisch
The engine is dry and in good condition underneath, idles smoothly, and responds well with a characteristically strong torque. Porsche’s own 915 gearbox feels tight and mechanical, with a firm resistance and a clearly defined clutch that engages early, heavily, and decisively. It’s evident that the car has not covered a long distance.
The parking brake on the right rear is sticking, and the brakes generally need attention after the period of inactivity. The car has not been serviced for over ten years, so an oil service is necessary before driving, along with a full inspection. A rusted oil cap on the inside indicates condensation in the oil tank, which is not uncommon on a car with a dry-sump lubrication system. This is also why frequent oil changes are important to avoid moisture in the oil tank. -
Zustand Interieur
A beautiful original interior featuring the now-classic, sought-after, and slightly psychedelic Pasha upholstery in fine, unworn condition. The original steering wheel is also in excellent shape, with intact stitching and supple leather.
The original carpets and door panels are in good condition, and a set of aftermarket mats with an oriental style was removed during documentation but will be included if desired. -
Zustand Exterieur
Nice paintwork and an attractive exterior with a good Targa roof. The car has been repainted at some point, possibly in the 1980s, as evidenced by a period-correct body coating along the lower edges of the body. Looking at the edge of the rear fender near the engine bay, it is clear that the rear fender has been replaced, which also explains overpainted bolt heads, wires with paint on them, and a small weld seam.
Original Fuchs wheels with older tires are fitted. The rear wheels appear slightly oversized to the eye, and they are equipped with 225/55VR16 tires instead of the original 225/50VR16, resulting in more rubber and a taller tire profile under the rear arches. The OEM wheels are 15" so-called “cookie cutters”; these are included with the car. -
Zustand gesamt
A positive overall impression with low mileage, presented in an appealing and well-kept condition. In need of standard maintenance and a thorough check-over after a longer period of inactivity.
The symbol of free enterprise on the rear window not only represents its message but also serves as a period-correct statement on an ’80s 911, along with the small mobile phone antenna.

Fakten zum Modell
The three base models were now called the 911, 911S, and 911 Carrera. In the autumn of 1976, the Carrera received a 3.0-liter engine, and just a year later the entire 911 lineup was replaced by a single model, the 911 SC. Throughout the rest of the 1970s, Porsche focused its resources on front-engine cars, leaving the 911 largely without updates. The intention had been to eventually replace the rear-engined model, but customers thought otherwise, and demand remained strong.
Following changes in company leadership in the autumn of 1980, Porsche decided to listen to its customers and reinvest in the 911. The first result of this renewed focus was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 1982, when Porsche introduced a third body style—a fully open cabriolet. In the autumn of 1983, engine capacity increased to 3.2 liters (231 hp), and the car was renamed the 911 Carrera.
The final development of the original 911 series was the open-top Speedster, produced during the first half of 1989. The car was inspired by the 356 model of the same name and, like its predecessor, featured an impractically low windshield and a simple soft top. With the production of the Speedster, the classic G-series came to an end, and production of its successor, internally coded 964, had already begun.
