The car was imported from the United States in 2019 and had 14830 miles on the odometer. The present owner purchased it in 2020 with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. A slight rust issue under the bottom of the tailgate was repaired. When it came time to repaint this section, it was discovered that the sun had somewhat faded the original paint, making it impossible to match the precise color. As a result, it was decided to repaint the entire car in its original color, which was done exceptionally well.
Furthermore, the interior was sun-bleached and dry, so he chose to reupholster the entire interior in the original style, resulting in the great condition it has now.
The original odometer in miles has been replaced by a new original odometer (NOS) that comes with the car. The car has only traveled 35 kilometers since the change. There is a wealth of information available, including photographs and historical information.
This P1800 ES is a last year model in outstanding condition. The owner does not have time to use it and would prefer that it be enjoyed by another enthusiast.

Fakten zum Modell
Bilen tillverkades till en början av Jensen Motors i England, men tillverkningen flyttades senare till Göteborg. Underlag för beslutet om att börja serietillverka bilen, utgjordes av prototypen med beteckning P958-X1, vilken stod klar i början av 1958.[3] Det första serietillverkade exemplaret av P1800 slutmonterades i England, under hösten 1960. Fordonet svenskregistrerades och köpare var Mario Moulun från Sundsvall.[4] Endast de bilar som tillverkades av Jensen kallas egentligen P1800. När Volvo tog tillbaka tillverkningen byttes beteckningen till (P) 1800S, "S" som i svensk. Men Volvo har aldrig varit konsekvent med sina beteckningar. Modellen har kallats både "P1800", "P 1800" och "180" i olika sammanhang. 1970–1971 tillverkades 1800E, som då fick den starkare B20E/F-motorn med insprutning.

Bilen moderniserades genom åren och i slutet (1972–1973) byggdes även en variant som var ett slags sportkombi, ritad av Jan Wilsgaard, bilen betecknades då 1800ES (ES för "Estate", herrgårdsvagn), ibland även kallad ”fiskbilen” eller ”likbilen” i Sverige. Vikande försäljning och hårdare säkerhetsföreskrifter (krocksäkerhet) och avgasreningskrav (bland annat EGR, vilket sänkte motorns uteffekt avsevärt) på USA-marknaden gjorde att man lade ner tillverkningen i början av 1970-talet, även om 1972–73 var de bästa åren vad gäller försäljning så lades de övriga 1960-talsbilserierna från Volvo ner (Volvo Amazon, Volvo Duett), med vilka P1800 hade haft gemensamma komponenter. Det hade således blivit väldigt dyrt för Volvo att fortsätta med 1800 ensamt.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
