In 1973, this Karmann Giha was sold in Sweden. It has a very good finish on an older repaint. The original interior of the car is still in good condition. It has travelled a distance of 123,48 kilometers (the metre has gone around). Unusual with a three-speed saxomat and a semi-automatic transmission.
Driven till 1990, then put into the collection at the Volkswagen dealer in Borås until ending up at Holmgren's car museum in Pålsboda in 1993. The current owner has had the car since 2018 and has driven it for just over 400 kilometres. Brakes, callipers, brake hoses, fuel pump, and the carburetor have all been replaced (original calliper and carburetor included). It also has excellent tyres mounted on VW 1303 Big rims (original rims included). Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio fitted and recieved comprehensive service. There are also new rear bumper mounts included.
In September 2021, the car was inspected without issue.

The interior design is original. A little broken vinyl around the button for folding down the driver's seat. Cracks on the instrument panel were repaired.

Fakten zum Modell
Linjesköna Karmann-Ghia fick behålla sina fina grundformer till slutet. 1970 gjordes baklamporna större och två år senare kom de stora stötfångarna. 1974 tillverkades sista Karmann-Ghian och nya Scirocco tog över som Volkswagens sportigaste.
1500-motorn på 44 hk som kom 1967 var i princip samma som i Typ 3, men med annan placering av kylfläkten. Samma år kom också skivbromsar fram, bredare spårvidd bak, kompensationsfjäder över bakvagnen, tvåkrets bromssystem och fyrbultade fälgar istället för fem. Den halvautomatiska Saxomat-kopplingen kom som tillval 1968.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
