The car was purchased new in 1986 by a businessman in Nybro for use in his business. He immediately had the Volvo workshop install an original turbo and convert it into a light commercial vehicle.
When tax declarations came due in 1987, he was unexpectedly taxed on the benefit of the car, so he reluctantly deregistered it. At that time, the car had just over 10,000 km on the clock and has essentially only been driven to and from inspections since then.
It has been registered to two family members and their company. The car has always been stored in dry, humidity-free premises and shows no signs of rust or oxidation. All original parts have been preserved and are in like-new condition.
In January 2025, the car was collected by a tow truck and taken to Liljas Volvo workshop in Kalmar for a full service. All oils and the timing belt were replaced—see the photo of the receipt.
The only remaining task for the new owner is to get the car inspected. However, since the original tires are 40 years old, they should be replaced before driving.

Zustand technisch
The car starts easily and the engine runs smoothly. It has not been test-driven by BWA as it is currently deregistered, but it recently underwent a full service at a Volvo workshop and has been technically inspected.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is like new, with seat covers having been on since the car was purchased. The plastic on the door sills has never been removed. The rear seat is unused and still wrapped in plastic bags, with panels and seat belts also intact.

The paint is in excellent condition with no signs of rust or other damage. The trim and panels are also flawless. The wheels are in great shape, fitted with original tires that are 40 years old.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
