Ett år med stora förändringar. Det mest märkbara var kraftigare högre placerade stötfångare. Med mer lodräta strålkastare fram, nya bakljus och utvändigt tanklock var 1968 ett år med många nyheter. Detta är också året när bilarna får tolv volts elsystem, tryckknapp till luckan fram och bättre bakvagnsupphängning. Ventilationssystemet var också nytt med friskluftsintaget i nosen.
