This Model A has probably rolled in Sweden since it was new. Renovated to its original condition and with a gentle patina. It’s one of John Deere's powerful tractors fitted with a 5,3L 2 cylinder engine producing 34 hp.
This late Model A is “styled” with the later bonnet and nose that came in 1938. Good runner in a fully functioning condition with a Pulley, PTO and decent tires.
One of the tractors that has been with the longest in Per Larsson's extensive collection where he constantly bought and sold to have as good a copy of each model as possible.

John Deere Model A blev snabbt en av de absolut populäraste av John Deeres alla tvåcylindriga modeller när den kom 1934. Traktorn gick att få i ett stort antal versioner för att kunna hantera alla odlingskrav.
När tillverkningen startade var det den första serieproducerade traktorn med hydraulisk lyft. En annan finess var den delade bakaxeln som gjorde det relativt enkelt att ändra spårvidd – vilket var viktigt för odlare med många olika grödor. Jämfört med föregångaren John Deere General Purpose hade den också fyrväxlad låda. Model A var dessutom den första John Deeren som erbjöds med antingen stålhjul eller gummidäck. Den första stora moderniseringen kom 1938 då den fick delvis nya former, detta följdes av en treväxlad låda med hög och låg. Sista Model A:n rullade av bandet 1952.
