The car has only rolled in the northern parts of Sweden on salt-free roads. Few owners where the current one bought the car in 1995. Very good overall impression and almost everything fixed over the last seven years. Painted by professionals. Has rolled about 100 km during the last 25 years!

Instruments and inner ceiling are original. The interior is also original except for a new fabric in the front sofa and new galon on the upper edge of the front sofa. Non-original floor mat in fabric. Everything in the luggage is original.

Professional repainting. The chrome is at 95% while moldings hold 75% where there is a small dent on some lists. Very little has had to be welded since the body was in good condition from the beginning

Fakten zum Modell
The Opel Rekord P2 was introduced in the summer of 1960, as a replacement for the Rekord P1. It shared its wheelbase with its predecessor but was nonetheless a little longer and wider. The wrap-around windscreen which had been a defining element of the Rekord P1, and which had given rise to the P for "Panorama"designation, was now gone, but the P designation remained and the driver's view out, assisted by relatively thin A-pillars, remained good. The style of the Rekord P2 followed the fashion trends of the time, being less ornate than its predecessor, and in consequence being perceived as "less American looking".
The Rekord P2 consistently achieved second place in the West German sales charts, beaten to the top slot only by the smaller and cheaper VW Beetle. Despite selling at a rate marginally ahead of that achieved by its successful predecessor, the Rekord P2 was replaced in February 1963, after only 30 months, by the Rekord Series A.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
