Beschreibung

The car was delivered as new to a doctor J A Petersen in Sunndalen, Norway. It came to Sweden as scrap sometime in the 70s and changed owners several times. The current owner started renovation of the car in 2004. The entire history of the car is well documented by the current owner. The car left the factory as a touring model but has been converted into a spider following original drawings from the Fiat factory in Turin. The car is nice car to drive on small roads. Nothing for the highway. Requires some driver skills not least considering the pedals. The gas-pedal is in the middle!

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    The engine and gearbox were renovated during the late 90's and works well. New tires, renovated wheels and new brakes.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Everything that’s new or renovated is done by the current owner. Original instrument and newly replaced hood

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    A newly built body with wooden frame. Repainted in its original color with nickel-plated fittings. All work was done by the current owner during the years 2004-2006

  • Zustand gesamt:

    Very nice vintage car with soul. Everything is in a top condition and painted in a proper color combination. Rumble seat with spare wheel outside mounted. The car has been driven about 500 km since the renovation was fully completed in 2008. In order for the car to become 100%, the radiator jacket needs to be renovated or replaced.

Fakten zum Modell

The Fiat 509 was produced by between 1925 and 1929 as a replacement for the Model 501. About 90,000 of the model was sold. In 1926, the model was upgraded to 509A. In addition to the standard car, there were sports models 509S and 509SM as well as taxi and transport versions.
A common car of its time. The power source is a 990 cc 4-cylinder petrol engine with overhead camshaft and a power output of 22 hp.

  • At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time.   • During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
