Today it remains a relatively low-mileage example at just 135,259 km, supported by its service records and historical inspection mileage. Regular servicing is documented from 1998 onwards, with timing-chain-related work carried out in 2011 at a cost of approximately 25,000 SEK. A major service and brake work followed in 2022 for 14,160 SEK, with a further service and general check-over in 2025. In 2026, preventative rust protection was carried out around the inner wheel arches and inside the sills, and a new set of tyres was fitted.
The current owner purchased the car earlier this year and has enjoyed it throughout the summer. It is only being sold because he has since purchased another Jaguar XJ, which offers slightly easier access in and out.
The car drives well and is finished in an attractive colour with a distinctive matching leather interior, which was an expensive option when new. The bodywork is straight with no standout rust issues, although the clear coat has started to flake in places. This could ideally be addressed in the future to further improve the car’s overall appearance

Zustand technisch
The car starts directly and the engine settles into a smooth idle with no unusual noises. On the road, it drives well with good power delivery, a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox, strong brakes and good road holding. No warning lights appeared during our test drive, although the owner mentions that the traction-control light occasionally comes on. A weak battery is suspected, as these cars can be sensitive to low voltage, so replacement would be recommended.
The alloy wheels present well with only minor scuffs and are fitted with good Michelin tyres. No winter wheels are included. The car is inspected until 2028-04-30. -
Zustand Interieur
The light green leather interior is complemented by matching green wood trim, giving the cabin a distinctive and elegant look. The leather seats are in good condition throughout, as are the door cards, panels and carpets. The headliner has started to lift slightly in places but is not hanging down. The dashboard, gauges and instrumentation all function correctly, although the heater display is slightly dim. Electric seats, mirrors and windows all work as they should, along with the air conditioning.

Zustand Exterieur
A presentable car overall, but on closer inspection the clear coat has discoloured and started to lift in places — please see the photos. This is mainly a clear-coat issue and could be improved with refinishing. The bodywork itself is straight with no notable damage or major rust issues, although there is some light blistering around the boot-lid frame. The underbody appears clean and solid with no notable damage or rust problems, just some light surface rust on various components. Overall, the paintwork is presentable, with the ageing clear coat being the main cosmetic point to address.

Zustand gesamt
A good-running example with long-term ownership history and a long inspection period. The cosmetic issues can be addressed over time, making this a car to drive and enjoy as it is. We would recommend fitting a new battery, but otherwise it is ready to be driven home and enjoyed.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
