Zustand technisch
Newly rebuilt engine and other mechanical components from 2008 that starts easily and runs smoothly. Stainless steel exhaust system. During the test drive, everything was found to work well in terms of steering, handling, automatic gearbox with functioning "kickdown," and brakes. Not checked underneath, but rustproofed, and much of the mechanical equipment is new and was replaced during the restoration and looked good, as did the undercarriage. No remarks at the Swedish vehicle inspection.

Zustand Interieur
Pleasant and well-preserved original interior with good comfort in the seats and rear bench. Door panels and headliner are in good condition. The carpets show wear from use, but new ones are included. Fine wood trim, steering wheel, controls, and instruments. All electrical functions appear to work well, including the power rear window. The clock needs attention. The ammeter is bypassed. Nicely functioning period-correct Blaupunkt. Antenna wire on the windshield.

Zustand Exterieur
The paint is glossy and attractive with normal age-related wear, though nearly polished through on the upper front fenders. Likely original, but some areas may have been touched up. The left front fender has a hint of a soft dent at the top near the wheel arch. There are also minor scuffs and traces of surface rust along the lower edges of the fenders and rocker panels. Glass, chrome, trim, emblems, and lighting details are in fine condition. Fog lights are fitted, and the original ventilation grille is included. All lights work, including the reverse light. Fine wheels, hubcaps, and trim rings, along with fine Hankook tires (removable whitewall trims). The engine bay and trunk are in fine, well-preserved condition. Complete tool kit in the spare wheel.

An elegant car from the era when British pop bands, Carnaby Street, and the detective-story craze conquered the world. Jaguar's midsize model was one of the cult cars from the British Isles at the time. Essentially a sports sedan with significant performance capabilities, but with the small silky-smooth six and the automatic gearbox, this is more of a cruiser in a sober suit. Presented here is a fine example that has undergone a mechanical restoration and is today a classic and sought-after enthusiast vehicle.

Fakten zum Modell
Externally, it differed from its predecessor in several respects. For example, the upper part of the car was redesigned with, among other things, larger windows, which improved visibility by 18 percent. The updated appearance also featured a new grille and larger lights with a different placement. In addition, the car's interior was revised. The car also received an improved instrumentation layout. With the Mk II came disc brakes on all four wheels, which became the new standard.
From September 1967 to April 1969, production of the Mk II was extended as a "gap filler" before the arrival of the new XJ6, but the 2.4L and 3.4L were renamed 240 and 340. The model with the 3.8-liter engine was now discontinued. In terms of appearance, the cars received a small update to the rear section and ventilation grilles instead of front fog lights, but those who wanted fog lights could order them. The bumpers became slimmer. The new versions now received a synthetic leather interior called Ambla as well as somewhat simpler carpets; otherwise, most things remained as before. When the XJ6 arrived in September 1968, the 3.4L was discontinued, but the 2.4L lasted right up until the end. Interestingly, when the 240 version arrived, the engine now had 133 hp compared to the previous 120 hp, featuring a different cylinder head with twin SU HS6 carburetors (previously Solex) and a different intake. The 240/340 versions also received a more modern Borg Warner 35 automatic gearbox. So even though the model now had a somewhat "downgraded image," it at least gained improved performance with the small, smooth six under the hood. A total of 83,976 cars in the Mk II series were produced, of which 4,446 were the 240 version between 1967 and 1969.
There was also a Daimler version from 1962–1969 with a 2.5 L V8 engine producing 144 hp. It featured, among other things, the typical Daimler grille. A total of 17,620 examples of this version were produced.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
