Zustand technisch
The engine with its Solex carburetor, and above all the gearbox, prefer some warmth in the system before they feel the way they should. Second gear is particularly sensitive. It's good to have machines that know what they want, that respond well for those who like to care for and warm them up before pushing hard. A compression test performed in 2021 showed between 10.5 and 11.5 bar on all four cylinders. Good bushings and a chassis with 30 mm H and R lowering springs and Bilstein B6 shock absorbers all around ensure feel and composure when it's time for some driving pleasure. The car sounds sharper thanks to an extra cheerful muffler.

Zustand Interieur
Fine and well-preserved original interior together with good carpets, door panels, and headliner. The handsome, slim leather steering wheel was standard on the 2-liter model. The current owner has also added a leather gear shift knob. The odometer has rolled over once and today shows 27,181 km, of which around 1,500 km have been driven by the current owner. The total mileage is thus 127,180 km. The clock does not work.

Zustand Exterieur
Partially repainted, but the roof, hood, and trunk lid appear to be original. The owner has measured the paint thickness on the latter. The front fenders have been replaced and garage-painted by a previous owner.
Some marks and blemishes from normal use. The owner has a nice wheel fetish – in addition to the handsome 15" Melber L165 wheels currently fitted with newer Toyo tires from 2021, the sale includes a set of original 13" steel wheels with nice hubcaps and a set of 14" 3-series E21 wheels as well. -
Zustand gesamt
Well-maintained and deliberately preserved on the exterior. Drives beautifully with a lively drivetrain—exactly what an '02 should be.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
