Zustand technisch
Starts and runs well, with the engine and automatic gearbox working properly. No abnormal noises were heard from the chassis during the test drive. Electrical functions such as air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, and cruise control all work. The car is equipped with an American safety feature – automatic seat belts – and they also work well. The code for the keypad lock on the driver's door is missing, but it is not needed to lock or unlock the car.

Zustand Interieur
The condition of the interior reflects the very low mileage. The seat upholstery and door panels are in very fine condition. There are a few stains on the carpet in front of the passenger seat.

A 35-year-old car that looks to be in like-new condition! The original paint holds its style and rust is nowhere to be found. The underbody is also in very good condition. There are a few marks on the front bumper and a minor blemish on the door trim on the passenger side – see photos. A couple of small soft dents can be found on the hood. The flaws are truly few and minor.

American understated luxury in a car that is in almost improbably fine condition. That it has only covered 21 069 km is confirmed not only by its appearance but also by the documents accompanying the car. The automatic seat belts may look a little unusual, but the system works and is yet another detail that makes this car comfortable.

Fakten zum Modell
The auction car is a seventh-generation Cougar, launched in December 1988. It still had rear-wheel drive and shared much of its technology with the contemporary Ford Thunderbird. At launch it was available only with a V6, but versions with a V8 came later. For the 1991 model year, the Cougar received a facelift with new headlights, a new grille, front bumper and new taillights.
There was an eighth generation Cougar, and it was also the first with front-wheel drive. The Cougar model name remained until 2002, and in 2011 Ford discontinued the Mercury brand.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
