The underbody has some older welds, with a few small rust spots and bodywork blisters present, but nothing significant or difficult to repair. The car came with a large number of spare parts, and many extras were left over after the rebuild. These additional parts will also be included in the auction as a separate post, giving other Datsun enthusiasts a chance to acquire sought-after items.
This car represents a rare opportunity to own a unique car that hasn’t been seen on the road for 30-40 years, offering a fun and distinctive driving experience. Mileage is probably in total 120,000km

Zustand technisch
The car has been serviced, reviewed, and had the brakes attended to. It now runs and drives well, though the gearbox selection may require some getting used to. A few small adjustments might be needed since it has only been driven lightly since returning to the road. It comes with a new inspection valid until August 31, 2026.

Zustand Interieur
Interior is original and complete, overall in good condition. It would benefit from a clean and shampooing of the seats, which show some signs of sun fading and worn padding. The door cards and headliner are in good shape, though there are some marks, and the car features newer-style carpets. The dashboard is in good condition, but it is missing a gauge, and the glove box lid catch is broken.

Zustand Exterieur
Bodywork is generally in good condition with a few blisters, mainly around the fuel filler cap, the door near the wing mirror, and the upper wing near the roof (see pictures). The car has been repainted at some point, and small paint bubbles and defects are present, particularly on the rear wings, along with some scratches and marks in various places. The underbody shows signs of older repairs and welding, with a few minor rust spots, but remains overall solid.

Zustand gesamt
This car is a fun drive, featuring a perky 1200 engine, as shown in the video. You can enjoy it as is for a while and address the cosmetic points over time—there’s nothing urgent that needs attention. I’m pretty sure you’ll be the only Datsun 1200 at the next car show.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
