Beschreibung
For 18 years, the car was regularly driven to Nice, where the winters were spent on the French Riviera. During the summers, it was instead used for trips to the family’s summer house in the Swedish archipelago.
Throughout the ownership period, the Jaguar has been stored in a dry, heated garage in Täby. For the past five years, it has remained stationary and protected from moisture, snow and road salt. The result is a preserved car that provides a good basis for improvement.
The car should be viewed as a restoration project, as there is still plenty of work to be done, although it appears to be in restorable condition.
The engine was not started and the car was not driven at the time of inspection.
The car is supplied with the original ignition key; see picture.

Fakten zum Modell
In terms of styling, the Mk II closely resembled its predecessor, with its flowing wing line and softly rounded rear end. The interior offered exactly the kind of atmosphere expected from a classic Jaguar, with leather, walnut and plenty of traditional British elegance.
The Jaguar Mk II was also a fast car, particularly in 3.8- and 3.4-litre form, compared with the smaller 2.4-litre version producing around 120 hp. All were based on Jaguar’s classic straight-six engine with an aluminium cylinder head and twin overhead camshafts.
Among the more unusual variants were the Daimler models, which were fitted with the V8 engine from the SP250 sports car. In addition to the four-speed Moss manual gearbox, a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission was also available.
During the final two years of production, the Mk II evolved into the 240 and 340 models. These are easily recognised by their slimmer bumpers and the replacement of the auxiliary lamps with grilles.
