This Volvo S80 Executive has been in the family’s possession since 2009. The father, 83 years old, bought it when it had about 95,000 kilometers on the odometer. The son bought it in 2021, and now the car has approximately 140,000 kilometers. Since the winter of 2017/2018, the Volvo hasn’t been driven in winter and is in good condition. It has been protected with Matrix paint protection by a car care specialist. The Volvo has been well-maintained, and some of the recent work includes a new timing belt with tensioners, a new water pump, and new brake fluid, all performed in October 2021. Additionally, it received a new battery in 2019, and service and other repairs have been performed regularly, mostly at a Volvo workshop during the family’s ownership.
The car has never had a tow hitch installed, indicating it hasn’t been used to pull heavy trailers or caravans. This S80 is equipped with a straight six-cylinder engine with twin turbo delivering 272 hp, automatic transmission, sunroof that can also open at the rear, soft leather upholstery with extra soft padding, ACC, headlight wipers, a premium stereo with CD, cassette player and DVD player in the back seat with a screen, cooler in the rear armrest, electric rear window sunshade, side window shades in the rear doors, nearly new 18” Michelin summer tires, fog lights, and engine heater with cabin outlet.
According to the owner and from what I observed during the photography session, all equipment inside and outside the car is functioning. The Volvo passed the inspection at Bilprovningen in June 2024 without any remarks. Today, it has 140,520 kilometers on the odometer. The car comes with three keys, two of which have remote controls. In the photos, the brake calipers are red, but they have now been painted black, as seen in the updated pictures.

Zustand technisch
Starts easily and runs smoothly and well in the engine. The drivetrain functions as it should, as do the brakes. According to the owner, all auxiliary equipment works as it should.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is overall in good and intact condition. The fabric on the A-pillars is loose, and some wear can be seen on the left B-pillar upholstery; see pictures. The headliner and sunroof are in good condition. The car is also in good and tidy condition in the trunk and engine compartment, although the insulation on the engine compartment’s firewall is slightly damaged; see picture.

The paint is believed to be original and is in good, undamaged condition. The door seal on the driver’s side is slightly damaged; see picture.

A roadworthy Volvo in a luxury edition in good and well-maintained condition. Approved at the vehicle inspection in June 2024. A very nice car.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
