During its time in Sweden, in addition to regular service and maintenance by its enthusiast owners, the car has received several beneficial updates:
In 2012, it was fitted with a new turbo, the ABS unit was repaired, and it got new handbrake cables and strut mountings.
In 2017, new Continental tires (which have since covered 6000 kilometers) were mounted, and new front brake calipers were installed.
In 2020, the timing belt was replaced at "Italiensk Bilteknik". During this service, a new water pump, tension rollers, and other belts were also installed.
In 2023, the car received a new rear muffler, a NOS coolant temperature sensor, and a paint treatment.
Documentation from both Germany and Sweden, as well as instruction manuals and other related materials, accompany the car.

Zustand technisch
Starts easily and runs smoothly. All operations, including clutch, gear shifting, and braking, are smooth and function well. The vehicle runs quietly and feels tight during driving. A slight ticking sound was noticed when examining the engine, possibly indicating a need for valve adjustment. It hasn't been checked on a lift, but from what was visible, the undercarriage appears to be in good condition. However, there was a note from the latest vehicle inspection pointing out early signs of rust on the rear frame.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is in excellent condition. Both the front and rear seats are comfortable, and the leather is soft and well-maintained. The instruments, dashboard, and door panels are also impeccable. The cloth mats, protective mats, and door sills are all in good shape, as are the steering wheel and controls. The roof lining is in fine condition, though it might be starting to sag slightly. The control panel for the AC is not working, but a new cable for updating is included. The car also has a newer stereo system.

Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork is shiny and in its original finish, with a few stone chips, minor scratches, and slight door dings. The left rear fender appears to have been repainted previously. There are minor paint flaking around the nozzles for the headlight washers. The glass, plastic, and rubber are also in good condition, although there are a couple of small stone chips in the original windshield. The wheels are in good shape and the tires are in good condition.

The Model 164, with over 30 years under its belt, still feels like a modern car. Its performance, comfort, and road feel are beautifully balanced. Wrapped in Pininfarina's timeless design and also in an exceptionally well-preserved condition, this car stands out as a delightful road vehicle and classic.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
