Zustand technisch
Equipped with a B20D engine featuring dual carburetors and a stated output of 105 hp. Four-speed manual gearbox with the classic long gear lever, which was the final year in 1971. The following year the lever was shortened. Stored off the road in a garage since 2017. Now retrieved and test-driven by the owner prior to sale. The car has been started and the engine warmed up occasionally once per year. Since the car has not been inspected since 2017, it will need to undergo a check at the vehicle testing station before it can be taken into traffic. We recommend a full service including oil change, brake inspection and more before inspection.

Zustand Interieur
The upholstery is original with signs of use and shows damage from sun fading. The driver's seat backrest and rear seat backrest are sun-faded and damaged with holes. See the images. Nice headliner and dashboard.

Zustand Exterieur
The exterior condition has weathered time well. There are paint improvements on some panels. There is incipient rust at the front indicator assemblies and normal stone chipping around the front. There are minor rust marks in the engine bay at the hood hinge mountings, at the inner edge of the front fenders, and at the seam between the inner fender and front panel. These are classic areas that typically suffer rust attack on unrestored cars. On this car, rust attack appears to be unusually minimal, which indicates that the car has had an owner who has cared for it over the years. Fitted with older tires. Please examine the photographs carefully for more information about the condition. Very fine underside.

Fakten zum Modell
The figure stands for 105 horsepower (SAE) and was used exclusively on the front grilles during model year 1971. That they are scarce today is primarily due to the natural attrition of cars from this model year, as well as the fact that most Volvo 142s were sold with the standard B20A engine producing 82 hp.
The reason for the model's short production run was that Volvo tuned the same engine (B20D) to 110 horsepower for model year 1972. Consequently, the front grille emblem was replaced with the figure "110".
