Right side window broken. Plastic body, the chassis have blisters around body filler patches. Refurbished 20 years ago. Been the off road for 15 years.

Fakten zum Modell
The car Tjorven was actually called KVD 440/441, but the mail carrier, who was in the test prototype, thought the car had a tricky appearance, reminiscent of the character Tjorven in the contemporary TV series Saltkråkan. Then the car was called for just Tjorven on the Swedish market.
Tjorven or Kalmar, as it was called on the export market, was a van, manufactured by Kalmar Verkstad AB (Kalmar Verkstad AB) in Kalmar between 1969 and 1971. DAF Tjorven had the same engine and driveline as DAF 44 but a brand new body with a lot of different solutions for its time.
The car was designed to be used as a mail carrier car and had in its original version only a folding stool that could be used for a passenger. The car had sliding doors with the driver's seat on the right side, so that the mail carrier could stop the car right at the mailbox, open the door and put the mail in the mailbox without leaving the car. Some prototypes with a body made of sheet metal were manufactured for testing. When it was then produced, Tjorven received a glass fiber reinforced plastic body on top of a frame of steel profiles. The 1969 model had a 6 volt power system that was replaced with 12 volt for the 1970 model.

General information about the condition of the cars in Olofström
- The cars in the museum has been started and driven regularly since 2003, however they have not been tested annually by the Swedish car inspection authorities.
- Some of the cars has been stored in non-heated garages. These cars are in need of service and review of breaks. Some cars require more extensive renovation. Specific information is available under the description of each car.
- The batteries are unusable in some of the cars and the tires are old.
- For this auction the cars are not declared as vehicles of daily/normal usage, rather they are described from a collecting perspective.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- If you have won an auction where the reservation price is passed, please deposit to our client account the full amount before you arrange for pick up of any items.
- You will be fully refunded, including the bidding fee, if you at the time of inspection and delivery is of the opinion that the description of the item does not match its real condition.
- You will be debited the bidding fee if you do not inspect the item at its place of delivery.
