The car was registered in Sweden in August 1996 and has remained in the same family's ownership since June 1998. Over the years, it has primarily been used for vacation trips within Sweden and has always been cared for with great attention. The owner insisted that service and maintenance be carried out by one and the same service technician at the Mercedes workshop, which testifies to an ambition to give the car the proper care. The car has never been driven in winter during the family's time with it and has been stored in a garage. Usage has been very limited, with only approximately 5,000 km driven over the past 14 years. More recently, the battery has been replaced, as well as the fuel pump and fuel filter. The cabin fan works intermittently, and the A/C compressor engages, but the air conditioning's cooling performance has not been thoroughly checked. The sunroof is watertight, but as it has rarely been used, its function has not been verified. There is an electrical issue with parasitic battery drain connected to the fuses for the driver's door and the right rear window. When the fuse is in place, the power windows work, but the car then draws current even when parked.
All in all, this is a Mercedes with a long and continuous family history, whose sparing use and garage storage have shaped its life over the years.

Engine and drivetrain run well. The brake systems work as they should. The driver's door does not "pull in" past the first latch catch. This may be related to the issue with the window regulator on the driver's door. AC and interior blower fan, function uncertain. Please also read the section titled "description".

The interior is in very good and well-kept condition; the seats, door panels, carpets, headliner (with the exception of a few minor stains), and dashboard are all very nice. A well-cared-for interior.
