This car was originally from Germany and ended up in Norway in 1987. Between 1993 and 2004, the current owner completely renovated the car. It was import to Sweden after the renovation was completed. There is documentation and receipts for the renovation.
The fiberglass epoxy body of the Matra Murena is mounted on a galvanized frame.
The rare Murena S variation, as seen above, was only produced in 480 copies for around six months, until January 1984. Murena S referred to the 2.2-liter engine with two carburetors and 140 horsepower.

In the late 1990s, the engine and transmission were rebuilt. The work was completed in a workshop at the Norwegian Armed Forces. There is documentation available. In 2008, new Weber DCOE40 carburetors were installed. Since the renovation, the car has only traveled a little more than 500 kilometers.

The car was repainted in 2003 and has performed admirably since then. "See photo" for a slight damage to the right wheelhouse at the rear. The windscreen was changed in 2002, and it is possible that a new sealing strip is required.

Fakten zum Modell
Matra var mycket av en uppfinnarverkstad. Man hade framgångsrikt utvecklat flera racerbilar och man fungerade som en slags prototypverkstad åt främst Renault och Simca. Men man utvecklade också mycket material åt försvarsindustrin.
Så gjorde man en del egna bilar där Murena blev den sista rena Matran.
Till Murena tog man vidare idén från föregångaren Matra Bagheera med mittmotor och tre sittplatser i bredd.
Murena kom ut 1981 först med en 1,6 litersmotor från Talbot Solara och senare den större 2,2 litersmaskinen som kallades type 180.
Den gick att få med dubbelförgasare som tillval - det kallades 'preparation 142' och den blev senare modellen Murena S. Bara 480 stycken Murena S gjordes mellan juli 1983 och januari 1984.
Den importerades aldrig till Sverige men i dagläget finns det nio Murenor här - varav detta är den enda av S-modellen.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
