Beschreibung

When the current owner bought the car, the idea was that the seller would complete the Mustang build, but that never happened. Instead, the current owner took it home and finished the project himself with his own effort and care. Now the project is complete, and it’s time for someone interested in actually using it to take over.

The car is a 1970 Ford (registration documents included). It has been built for historic racing but has never been raced – only test-driven. In the HTP documents it is inspected as a 1969 model, since the ’69 cars are allowed to be 200 kg lighter.

Technical specifications:

Engine: two-bolt 302 block, reinforced with Boss heads and headers, producing around 480 hp.

New parts on the car: floor, front and rear fenders, hood, trunk lid, complete wiring including battery, oil cooler, radiator, shock absorbers, front springs, rear bumper, windshield, clutch, and paint.

Rear fenders widened, traction bars, Watt’s linkage, 3.50 gearing.

Floating axles.

Minilite wheels 8x15".

Extra parts included:

New four-bolt Boss block.

Two American Racing wheels 8.5x15" with Michelin tires.

The car is therefore built to meet the requirements for historic racing, while at the same time never having been raced – a perfect opportunity for the next owner to take over.

  • Zustand technisch:

    The spare engine has four-bolt main caps.
    The cylinder bores need honing, possibly boring, but it seems likely that honing will clean them up.

    Good paint with a few minor blemishes and touch-ups. Nice and well-built body.
    Clean underneath.

Fakten zum Modell

The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback is a true icon among American muscle cars – built as a homologation model for racing in the Trans-Am series, where the Mustang competed against cars such as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, AMC Javelin, and Dodge Challenger T/A.

Introduction: The Boss 302 was introduced in 1969, with 1970 being its second and final year of production. Ford wanted a Mustang that could hold its own on the track, not just on the straights.

Designer: Larry Shinoda, who had previously worked at GM (notably on the Corvette Stingray), was tasked with giving the car its distinctive look.

It was offered in many bold colors, with “Grabber Blue” and “Grabber Orange” being the most famous.

Production 1970: Approximately 7,013 units. Produced for only two years (1969–70), making it highly sought after today.

  • At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
  • During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
