This Porsche 928 was purchased by the current owner’s father in 2009. A true car enthusiast, he had always dreamed of owning a Porsche and was immediately drawn to this 928’s wonderfully sporty sound and sky-blue color. Since then, it became his passion project, which he enjoyed driving mainly during the summer months on the smaller roads of Uppland.
Early on, he established a collaboration with a technician at Bosch Car Service in Uppsala — someone who had owned a Porsche of the same model and knew it inside and out.
A selection of the work and refurbishments carried out includes: new upholstery, replacement of the speedometer in 2017, new power steering pressure hoses, and a new timing belt installed in spring 2024. The AC system was refurbished and now functions properly. The car has also received continuous attention and investment through smaller repairs and improvements — such as seatback levers, tailgate lock, washer reservoir, steering rack boots, instrument lights, drive belts, gaskets, washer pump, and more.
The tires currently fitted appear fairly new with good tread depth. According to the owner, a set of studded winter tires is included (not pictured). A binder with receipts and inspection reports comes with the car, as do two sets of keys.

Runs well in both engine and drivetrain. The braking system functions properly, providing smooth and even braking. The AC system works, and all other equipment on the car also appears to function as it should. The speedometer has been replaced, making the car’s actual mileage difficult to determine.

Fakten zum Modell
The Porsche 928 was originally intended to replace the aging 911 model — development of its foundation began as early as 1970. Compared to the 911, this was a much more modern car, featuring a front-mounted V8 engine and a rear-mounted transmission for optimal weight distribution. The new model was designed to be lighter, safer, and more comfortable than the 911. Its styling referenced Porsche tradition while still conveying a sense of the future.
To keep the weight down, the car was partially constructed from aluminum. In 1978, the Porsche 928 was named Car of the Year.
However, the idea of the 928 replacing the 911 never came to pass — production of the 928 ended in 1995, while the 911 continues to be built to this day.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
