Note! New information! The car is registered in Sweden as a 3.0 CS, but according to the chassis number, it is a 2800 CS. An icon from BMW from the early 1970s. Beautiful, sleek lines combined with a sporty design. A start-up service is required, as the car has been stationary for some time.

Beschreibung

This car was imported to Sweden in 1984. The current owner is the third owner in Sweden and has owned it since the year 2000. It has been used only sporadically since then. The low mileage is not accurate, as the odometer has likely rolled over once or twice. The inspection history is unclear, but the car was registered for road use in 1998 and inspected in June 2000. Overall, it is in good usable condition. A machine polish of the paintwork would greatly enhance its overall appearance. The car has most likely been repainted during its lifetime, as it was reportedly white originally. Our assessment is that it was fully stripped and repainted, since no traces of the previous color have been found. Documentation is limited, but more may be available according to the current owner.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    After inspection of the fuel lines and fuel pump, the car has been started up. The engine runs smoothly and evenly, though the idle speed is unusually high. Gear shifts function satisfactorily, as do the brakes, although the latter should be checked over before inspection. All instruments appear to be in working order. Newly painted wheels fitted with good Falken tires from 2017, size 205/60-15. Original jack and two sets of keys are included.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Nice leather seats. The rear seat appears relatively unused. The front seats show light patina with a small tear on the backrest near the entry area — very common on cars of this age. A light conditioning of the leather is recommended. Panels and headliner are in good condition. The carpets are worn, but new ones are included. Aftermarket larger speakers have been installed in the rear shelf, with some cables routed a bit carelessly. CD stereo of unknown functionality.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    The front panel appears to be slightly misaligned, which affects the fit of the hood. Paintwork is in an unpolished state. Basically in good condition, though with some touch-ups and minor scratches. We assess that most of these can likely be polished out. Chrome, trim, and light fixtures are in nice driver condition. Windshield is undamaged but somewhat worn. Tires are in good condition, as previously mentioned. The car has not been inspected on a lift, but looks good based on what we can see — using a flashlight and some crawling on the floor.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    Good overall impression, which can definitely be enhanced with the measures mentioned above. A delightful car on the road, with an engine that pulls nicely throughout the rev range. There is room for improvement.

Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
