Beschreibung

A fine Swedish-sold "survivor" that had frequent changes of ownership in the first half of its journey, but only three enthusiastic owners since 1991, and the last of which for just over ten years. A lot of work has been done during the journey. The current owner, who is a helicopter technician and interested in racing, has put energy and effort into the mechanics. The whole wagon is in a nice and clean condition, as an Alfa Romeo from the 60s/70s should be. Even then with a five-speed gearbox and disc brakes all around. This car is the popular 1750 version, an Italian classic in a sporty suit

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    A lively car with good drive in the engine with its twin Webers. The engine was removed by the last owner and got a new radiator and new engine mounts with a function check of the oil pan etc. Various function tests and reviews have been carried out over the years.

    Good road holding (Koni), easy and precise steering. Shifts smoothly, with some noise when the clutch is depressed. (release bearing)? It was last changed about ten years ago.

    The front and rear floors have been replaced, beam and jack mounts at the front are repaired and properly protected from rust (2000). After that, it was only driven a little and that is why the chassis is still good. It has new copper brake pipes and tested brakes which are working well. The belt to the rear axle is in poor condition, a new one is included. The exhaust system is in good condition but the rear silencer should be replaced.

    The heating system has been taken out, the fan motor and bearings checked and the heating valve replaced. Now tight and well functioning.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Instrumentation, steering wheel and headliner are original and in mildly patinated original condition, the temp gauge is slightly unstable. The interior such as seats and door sides are reupholstered and not in the original design but in good functional condition. There is a crack in the driver's seat.

    Wind noise can be heard at the side windows, but new seals and adjustments of doors are likely measures to overcome this.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    The car was repainted in its original colour many years ago, still shiny. There are small spray blisters (typical 80s/90s) but they haven't gotten worse in recent years. Corrosion around the driver's side door handle, at the fuel cap, front wings and boot emblem, live with it or fix it. The bumpers are not fitted but are included, they need fixing. Nice Momo wheels and tyres.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    A nice wagon that exudes Grand Turismo and a longing for winding country roads. A lot has been done over the years, but there are things to live with or refine. Regardless, it's a lovely wagon, a classic model from one of the major sports car manufacturers.

Fakten zum Modell

Alfa-Romeo är ju som bekant ett klassiskt Italienskt bilmärke, som var igång redan 1910 i Milano. Idag har de huvudkontor i Turin och ingår i koncernen Stellantis.

Märket har genom åren haft en brokig historia, trots detta har de lanserat mängder av klassiska bilar, inte minst med sportiga ambitioner och attribut.

Kärt barn har många namn men först ut av de sk. Bertone Coupérna var Giulia TI 1962. Ett antal versioner och uppgraderingar ser dagens ljus i mitten av 60-talet och vagnarna tas emot av entusiastiska ägare.

På Brysselmässan i januari 1968 presenteras så modell 1750 GT Veloce. På utsidan modifierad front, nu utan osthyveln, dubbla strålkastare, hydraulisk koppling, bättre bromsar, nytt kylsystem samt krängningshämmare bak. På insidan en ny inredning, nya stolar samt mittkonsol och instrumentpanel.

På Turinsalongen 1969 uppdateras 1750 GTV med hängande pedaler, tvåkrets bromssystem och nytt bromsservo. Det blir dessutom nya stötfångare med horn, nya inbyggda blinkers fram, runda sidoblinkers samt en uppdaterad inredning.

Till årsmodell 1972 kom så en ny 2000 GTV version. Så 1750 GTV hade en relativt kort tillverkningsperiod 1968-1971. Många hyllar just den versionen, i skarven av 60/70-tal, där mkt av ursprunget fanns kvar i utseende men med nyare och bättre teknik. Oavsett, så var den Bertoneritade Coupén mellan 1962 och 1976 en succés med drygt 200.000 tillverkade exemplar. Hyllad då och hyllad nu.
